I have been using the phrase "high satire" for months now, and I would like to define it.

High satire - satire that is so over blown and purposefully overdone, that the point is to go beyond irony. The point is not satire, which is often a social criticism or intellectually based, but rather these things IN satire. It is high satire (think high fantasy), and the source of the hunor is the serious ridiculousness.
