Can I get some 2P America headcanons/backstory like you did with the 2P Nyos too?
So i already did this one but its good for character writing.
Allen Liberty Jones! Or Al for short.
He is about 400 years old, but appears to be the same age as Angie and the rest of the Americas. Like the rest of them, he views the FACE fam as his brothers and Family. Allen does have a particularly close relationship with Matt and admits to jealousy due to his elder sibling’s good behavior. (A total lie Allen is Unaware of)
Allen has special abilities: predominantly superhuman strength and speed. But the downside is that he loses energy extremely fast.
As stated in my previous post with the Face Fam! He is a brash, wrathful, and ruthless young man. But with a charming bad boy streak to keep him by all definitions, a total player and heartbreaker. He does do better with rules even he hates them, but where does this trait come from?
It comes from that total jerk. Oliver Kirkland. The classist prick himself! When Allen was brought to miraculous beautiful world he was just a kid on his own. And had no memory of what happened before then with the sole exception of the word-croatoan. Eventually, he was the last of the American representations to be found a decade later. According to Oliver: he was too young to remember, but he was found in North Carolina with group of colonist that had intermingled with the a nearby native tribe.
However if you asked him, he considers himself Native American as a result of this alleged detail. He was moved around from place to place or sometime so that way Oliver could keep tabs on him. But Oliver was never attentive. Meaning that there would be long periods of time where Allen would starve and when Oliver came back he would feed him a type of meat “that never felt right.” But a flavor that he felt was a little too familiar.
Every day, though it seems to be obvious that this is very much a fact. Especially given his personality. A need to fight for survival to live a dream so close to his grasp that he can act out in reality. Just enough push and pull to keep it going.
The moment that Oliver found him, his life became nothing but rules and Trauma training from there. Oliver installed a lot of ideas to that boy and he has bordered on not being right since. His more “Savage” character traits as Oliver put it was too much to shame out of him. Oliver took it to the next best thing while he trained his new little brother like a dog: he made him in charge of managing crime and working with the military.
It may have been a harsh few Centuries and it did come from a place of controlling that boy. But it kept him loyal for the longest time. But these contradictory pasts of this handsome young man made a ticking time bomb that was always ready to blow up. And simultaneously one that wanted his older brother’s approval.
Just like every version of England though, (with the exception of Olivia and Alice) Oliver would go away for long periods of time. Meaning there was always a free time for him to abuse his power. The kid was an avid drunkard during his preteen years, and had a habit of breaking into people’s homes to sleep there after a bar fights that he would win. A known saucy boy at the time, he knew how far he could go before he got in trouble.
A brat is what he was. Oliver would find out of course, he may have never laid a hand on his little brother, yes, but he wasn’t above scaring him with magic and psychological abuse. Whether it be cracking jokes of Allen eating human flesh or reminding him he could leave him at any moment in time if he doesn’t learn to behave himself.
With Oliver being the only character that Allen got to know for a long time, it was a breath of fresh air when Matt came along. He may have been the youngest, looking person there when Oliver fought to gain control of Quebec— but he was also the strongest person there. Even if Allen had no idea what the fuck he was saying— the two brothers got along through shared quirks. It was a lot of underage drinking and similar hobbies for the two boys.
But there was always two people he never liked. Alfred and Angie. Alfred because he considered him a fat, stupid spoiled brat. Who was not in anyway thankful for the life that England gave him. And Angie because every time they would associate, other than that sick disgusted feeling he has in his stomach at his nyo, she would always be an annoying loudmouth that he had to shut down himself.
They all had a role to fill, and he had the strongest one: control of the colonial population. But one day, when Angie was feeling particularly fed up with Olivia… all of that changed and it began to start of the revolutionary war.
Allen and Angie would cross paths. Far too many times for his liking. Especially in Massachusetts, where would kickstart the intolerable acts as imposed by Oliver and Arthur. Day after day after day, he would deal with her and Alfred. Something he especially despised because of Alfred’s spoiled attitude and oblivious nature. But then one day, son thing in him snapped.
He actually listened to what Alfred had to say. And what his bosses in his own nation had to say. That awoken something in him that would never leave. The prospect of getting to leave Oliver. Soon he found himself interacting with Louis, and from then on out this was what he called his “Revolutionary Phase” and it was a phase that never went away.
It took a lot of fighting and took a lot of effort, but he got rid of his older brother. Yes, he did have to say goodbye to Matt. But he learned a lot from Louis. A lot of ways to trick people, specifically. Yet eventually, Louis ended up, leaving for a really long time and he never got to see what he would’ve considered his new elder brother without getting permission from his bosses.
By the time he saw Louis again, he wasn’t the same. Meaning Allen only had himself and Alfred to a rely on. From then on out, the two sort of grew closer and would still keep each other at a distance.
He wouldn’t even see Matt or Oliver again until the war of 1812, and even then their relationship was still rocky. Allen has done so many things that he has not been proud of, that the only thing he could admit to was that he killed off any trace of the Confederacy rising up again. Personally beating the people of states into submission as to ensure that the United States of America would remain united.
All of this stayed this way with him being the most stoic and the scariest of all of the representations of the United States, even through the Gilded Age. When he finally got to me. He would’ve considered his family again, he came up as the most unstable in behavior even if he was trying to be charming. It took a decade for him to start behaving in his normal charming manner, but that anger never ceased. Allen only found peace in his dreams. They were the only place he could finally be happy, something that he related to Louis quite a lot.
His own strength finally came in when it came to World War I and World War II. He had never felt more wanted, more appreciated in his life. That is when the spark of his eyes showed up again.
Once the wars were over and the cold wars came out, he and Vladimir did didn’t have a particularly positive relationship either. Allen own relationship with his only other family would be the only one he would have.
In modern day, he would get his sense of freedom from the dreams that he has. And it would be the only time his own wrathful emotions would cease. He works as paramilitary right now. He also takes a few odd jobs as a handyman.
Every once in a while, he will visit his elder brother and all of them tend to hang out with Oliver. Something that he admittedly missed the most.
Fun fact:
As a result of Oliver’s abuse, he has several dietary restrictions. He could only eat fish and chicken. He is predominantly a vegetarian. But as a small piece of revenge towards Oliver, he has made a public display of himself by vocally lying. To this day, it is commonly taught in American schools the British soldiers used to take residence in American homes during periods of war as an act of tyranny.
Truth is this was something that everyone did and it was just a way to cover up his own personal bad behavior as a child.
Allen is a real jerk.
Artist credit is: hopes and dreams who knows
Another one of Allen. —Suits the vibes for the summer☀️💧🌀
I’ve loved this man since 2012. He’ll always be my muse.
Here’s two other versions. Couldn’t decide which ones I liked best—so why not post all of em?
❤️
Something that makes me smile? Uh, summer in New York in the 70's was fun. Hard couple years, but there was a lot of good stuff goin' on between the bad. And there was a lot of bad. Good company, though. Real feisty people, kind that you really will always look up to. Good company, too. Sneaky company. I had a nice apartment back then. It was fun, lots of good memories there.
// there's a lot of stuff involved in this answer!!!! If anyone wants more details, he is pretty happy to talk about this era. Lots of partying, celebrating queerness, fighting and protesting, etc etc etc
💜
// he straight up would not answer this vulnerably. But the truth is taking Amelia to the first Met Gala in 1948. He was able get them both out of their missions and such for the war for them to go have fun for a little bit. They did, though, sneak out of their responsibilities, but they got away with it so they don't talk about it much.
