i haven’t slept that soundly in months and it was just hayley. it wasn’t some klonopin induced drowsiness and it wasn’t some all over heaviness at the hands of a few lines of heroin (even though i told myself once and never again). it wasn’t me drinking myself to sleep. it wasn’t anything but hayley and her fingertips on my back and her all over softness and the resounding realization that i’m safe when she’s around. i can’t let that happen again, though. i’ll get used to it and if it becomes habit, what happens when she’s gone?

i’m screwed.
