You can't go wrong with a Taylor guitar. I haven't heard one that didn't sound fantastic. Not sure whether it is the superb electronics that they use in them for live performance, or if it is the quality of the tonal woods that they use in the construction of the guitars. No matter what it is, probably a combination of both, these are some of the finest guitars made. Yup they cost a bit more than run of the mill guitars, but they will provide years and years of enjoyable playability without any hassles.
