Day 14 Flowers 31DC2013. Freehand vintage roses inspired by my skirt!
Hey hey! I got a great new skirt with vintage looking roses and decided to copy them for the flowers day of the challenge!
I still dont have any brown or cream nail polish so these colours were all mixed up with acrylic paint. I painted first a base of black nail polish and then used a dotting tool to dot on bases for each rose with the cream, brown, blue and red. I used a small striping brush to add in detail and kept layering bits of colour on until I felt happy with them. I added the leaves last with cream and then green.

Week two of the 31 Day Challenge has passed. Let's have a look! #31DC2013 Day 8 Metallic. Sweet Heart Polish Mermaid Magic with Winstonia and Mundo de Uñas White. Kinda unsure about how metallic this polish is but I hadn't had a chance to use it yet. Added the stamps to go with it's name :)
#31DC2013 Day 9 Rainbow. I went for rainbow glitter with Nfu Oh GS05
#31DC2013 Day 10 Gradient. Ginger Rose inspired gradient. This one was a suggestion from a facebook friend. I actually don't own any cream or peach nail polishes so mixed up a few colours with white and orange!
#31DC2013 Day 11, Polka Dots. I turned my polka dots into lady birds inspired by Nailed it NZ!. The green polish is C'mon Spring by Every Sensory and Star Kin . Check out Jessie's ladybird tutorial on Nailed it NZ!. I made these with a dotting tool and Color Club Look Book, China Glaze Liquid Leather and a random white!
#31DC2013 Day 12 Stripes. Water Marble is striped right? I finally found some polishes that marbled easily! These are Morgan Taylor Later Alligator and a white Funky Fingers
#31DC2013 Day 13 Animal Print. Feathers from bornprettystore. I have since written a post about these feathers!
