impact of poc representation in western media (and furthermore western-specific racism) on diasporic kids.

general thesis and/or further exploration includes why immigrant children have difficulty relating to others of the same ethnicity who grew up in their home country (almost always filled w majority ppl of the same ethnicity) bc their representation back home vs western representation are highly different

from my own observations, it was interesting to see that the answers (over 1000 comments) covered the entire spectrum of the lgtbq alphabet

tho, additionally, many those who did comment did not identify as gay cismen

may be bc those who were didn’t reply to the forum, may be bc those who did answer didn’t disclose that identity specifically (from the quick skimming i did at least), may be bc gay men justifiably have an issue w y/a/o/i content. who knows??? i certainly don’t, that’s why i wanna read about it lol

also shout out to all the lesbians who read y/a/o/i btw god bless u i lov u and i too love girls

anyway i’d love to see what queer ppl think about content that often fetishizes queer ppl, and why we continue to consume it
