An experiment with 3D floors, namely making a layered ground-fog effect! In theory, it could also be modified to make shallow water (and other liquids too).

Basically, it uses normal 3D sector implementation (an out-of-bounds sector "casts" an inverted version of itself into a tagged sector via a line-special), with specific properties set:

"Type 7" means it's non-solid (type 3) and is set to render both the inside and the outside (type 4). Meanwhile, "Type 64" makes the sector use additive blending. Then the opacity is set to half. This is like half of how it looks the way it does.

The other half is the texture and the scrolling. The texture used is FLAT5_7 (grey cobblestones), which pairs well with the additive blending, since it's a fairly dark texture (though I still reduced the opacity because it was way too bright). And then it's set to scroll in opposite directions north and south, with a more subtle scroll east and west. And then the sector's floor and ceiling heights are set so that the top layer is 8 Units above the ground, while the bottom layer is 4.

I know how to do 3D floors now, which means I can make bridges without having to use portals. Also Quake-style wall-blocks and grates and stuff probably.
