Years ago, Jen & I got the opportunity of a lifetime when our reps called us with a script emergency - it was called See No Evil 2. At that time, I don't think anyone realized what huge wrestling fans we have been for years. As a matter of fact, we got into the @wwe from watching the Kane intro storyline. Jen sided with Taker, I was smitten by HBK. But neither of us could have guessed what happened at that very first Hell in a Cell when the Undertaker's brother, Kane, would return from the dead and take bloody vengeance. We still dispute who 'fairly' won to this day. The script was the sequel to the first film. We doubted we would be hired - we're often the female quota that gets an interview but not necessarily a hire - but we loved the story and the characters. After a twenty minute call with WWE Studios & Lionsgate Films, we passionately spoke about the film and said that we couldn't wait to see it. A miracle happened. We were hired. Now it doesn't seem like a miracle but when you're the team behind Dead Hooker in a Trunk & American Mary, working this a studio instead of putting your own money in to pay for your films is a big deal. And this would be working with people we loved. It got better. Horror icon, Danielle Harris, agreed to be our birthday girl, mortician Amy who has about to have one killer party. Katharine Isabelle came on board and we got to work with Chelan Simmons, Kaj-Erik Eriksen, Michael Eklund, Greyston Holt, and Lee Majdoub for the first time. It was a team that literally killed themselves to bring this slasher to life. The script was written by Bobby Lee Darby and Nathan Brookes. The team was extremely collaborative as we switched the gender roles for all of the characters. Spoiler alert - you hardly ever get to see a Final Boy. We had the Incredible Newton Brothers come on for the soundtrack and our talented buddy Kevvy from @fakeshark created the final track, Can't See You. Our friends at MASTERSFX came on to some fantastic killing as well as the redesigned Jacob Goodnight mask. Now SNE2 will premiere in the U.K. on The Horror Channel on April 7th. Please tune in!
