About Day Three...
So my Brag yesterday about wheel pose comes at a Karmic cost. Today while practicing my whole sacral area was not having it. So sore. I’m talking forward bends of any sort. I should have taken my time, but my arms always throw me for a loop when getting into that pose and sometimes I rush it. Lesson learned I suppose.
Other than my sacrum, it was a really good practice. I started with three Sun Salutation As and followed by Bs. I seem to always go to Sun Salutes when I want to warm-up in my practice. This is also true of the classes I taught. My concern in the back of my mind when teaching was that my classes were too similar. But I just love Sun Salutes so much, especially as a warm-up during practice. I think I’ll just keep on doing what I love.
Brag: I’ve been eating pretty consciously this week (or trying). I started with Meatless Monday and have been trying to eat breakfast every day (even if it’s something small like peanut butter toast and an apple).
Desire: I desire to do two things with my teaching: I really want to study more anatomy in regards to yoga. I’ve been reading Ray Long’s book The Key Muscles of Yoga which is an excellent resource! The second is my desire to build my practice up enough so I can get my Ashtanga certification.
Gratitude: I am super grateful for a day off! Having time off is few and far between with working two jobs, so, I’m going to take this moment and relish it!
I want to change schools already oops
Plan 1 for the new year
So I have recently also decided that once maybe twice a month I will go to a new local restaurant. This being said if I have any actual readers out there that know any good ones in RVA let me know.
Why you may ask. Well I have lived in this city my whole life and feel that I miss out on precious gems that it holds because I don’t live my comfort zone and while big, well known restaurants are always good, it seems to me that people have the best experiences at the small mom and pop ones. Although I may be mistaking but hopefully not.
Thus this is the beginning of my research. The start of my search for these local eats. Who will accompany me on my journey, maybe my brother or family, some I may have to do alone but I know this will make for an interesting time.
So again any my readers out there (if any are out there) drop me some suggestions.
