Visitor This looks too be about a three and a half year old (hatch year 2018). Note the black tips or barring on the tail feathers, as well as the dark feathers still present on the head, as well as the occasional white feather on the body. By next year's moult the tail feathers should come in all white, but the head will probably retain some mottling. An eagle at this age would still be unpaired. It was probably attracted to the area by a memory or the sight of our pigeon or European starling flocks, which can be seen from quite some distance. Loads of ducks on the River, too. Heard some geese the other night.
