hello tumblr, i miss you. i shall return to you in due time. i already have gotten internet back at my house (though shitty and only works in certain places i'll take it) and i'm getting money to make the first payment on a computer right after i may the payment on my apartment. things are looking up, guys.

though i admit i still probably won't be active until school is over because i currently have ten classes and it's a little hellish because some are due before others and graduation and whatnot, but that's all over soon anyhow so!!!

i'd been trying to see my guidance counselor for a few weeks and i put in slips but i never got called up so i emailed her and she emailed back saying she'd tried to call me up too but thought maybe i'd resolved it since i never came, but i actually just never got her sendings

so anyway i went and saw her today and she complemented me so much on the fact that i had the courage and responsibility to contact her and let her know i needed assistance with stuff.

idk she was v proud of me and it felt v nice bc i didn't even know i was doing something commendable

it's nice knowing people or a long time because you get to see them grow up, whether it's through them maturing or learning or becoming more open or becoming more secluded or getting more talented or whatnot, it's just so interesting to see someone you care about get better over time, especially if you're getting better alongside them. it feels like a whole different relationship, i don't know.

so a little while ago i went to portfolio day! i got my portfolio review for my KCAD (Kendall College of Art and Design) application, and it was the same reviewer from KCAD i'd had at portfolio day last year! woo c: he remembered me and it was nice to get feedback from someone who could relate the old with the new/see my improvements!

anyway. after i got the review - or rather, while i was getting the review - he mentioned that they had a special visit opportunity for students where they had an all paid weekend for students to visit. they fly you up and back and pay for your lodgings and whatnot, you get to go on tours and do activities and things with a select group of others who were also invited. so he invited me! we're currently in the process of setting up flight plans after having gotten all the permission slips filled out.

so that's why i'm going to michigan in a little over a week! super stoked. i'm going to get an ID this weekend after my boyfriend's birthday party so i can board the plane, and i'm going shopping with mi madre for weather appropriate clothes c:

i got some postcards in the mail, one from my reviewer wishing me a fun time and two to fill out - one's for another person who's going, i assume the one i'd be staying with at the hotel - and one to bring with me. i already mailed the one for the other visitee but i took pictures beforehand so i may upload them with the one i'm going to be taking with me c:
