Sometimes I remind myself that when characters are depicted doing questionable things that doesn’t mean that the character is meant to be controversial: sometimes the person writing for them is just bad at writing the character, leaving room for bad faith interpretations because of their own biases.
Then I remember that I talked shit about Adamaï from Wakfu for two hours straight, and there isn’t a single explanation that would change my feelings in the matter.
