I don’t understand people praising 6.04 for being all funny and meta and whatever. Yes I get that the writers were poking fun at themselves and at fandom but a lot of the episode simply didn’t flow right. Apart from the Klaine scenes it felt really long and miss focused and just crazy at points.
I've been a Glee fan for forever so I know the formulas they use and normally I can deal but this episode just went beyond it all for me for numerous reasons.
Glee is wasting a ton of time (when they have so little left) on things no one will remember.
Glee has always had dark humour and been crazy or weird but the crazy was always balanced to a degree with good storylines and heart. Where was that in this episode besides Klaine?
The gay stereotypes and "nicknames" are just offensive and I'm really shocked that I seem to be the only one who thinks that way. I mean really describing gay men as a blouse? 0_o
I get that Glee likes to poke fun at their fans but the fans are one of the few things that has kept this show going and it gets to a point where it feels like RIB is just giving us the finger.
The pop culture/news references are just over the top now. How is mentioning Boko Haram funny in any way?
If Rachel was going to date someone new shouldn't it be taken somewhat seriously given everything that happened with Finn? I don't understand what they were thinking with the whole Samchel Hypnotizing stuff.
Why are all the originals acting like they're 30 and talking about high school and Glee club like it was a million years ago?
I get that in the final season they want to revisit some of the old stuff (yay memories) but that doesn't mean that so many things need to be the same old shtick replayed. I mean how many times do we have to see Sue go on a long ass rant about how much she hates Will and the Glee club?
An entire episode that didn't have one song from the people who fans really care about. You know us the ones who buy the damn songs off Itunes.
If Glee (especially this season) is supposed to be about saving the arts how is Rachel (who quits everything) supposed to be a role model for that?
