A 60s Flower Power themed look for class! Heavy eyeshadow, liner and lashes. Emphasis on creating hollow eyes and cheeks, but not as colourful as the mod look. I mostly used Make-Up Studio cosmetics.
Model: bifurism
Get the Marianne Faithfull look! (1963, 1964 + 1965) Top: by Terry O'Neill ca. 1964 | Bottom: by Chris O'Dell 1963
Marianne's make-up has always been very minimalist, but elegant. In the early days she only accentuated her eyes with thick black liquid eyeliner (as opposed to her lips that she hardly drew attention to with make-up). It followed the shape of her upper eyelid and ended in a small wing as this was fashionable in the 60s. Her natural hair colour is very light and it looks like she applied black mascara to her upper eyelashes to make her gaze more dramatic.
Her lips were often left bare and when she used lipstick it was in (subdued) colours from the red or pink palette. It's important to use a shade that compliments your skin and teeth. Blue-ish reds and pinks bring out the yellow in teeth. If you are not a fan of lipstick you can also use colourless balm.
Key aspects of Marianne's early make-up: Black liquid eyeliner and black mascara to draw attention to eyes, if lipstick subdued colours from the red or pink palette, no blush.
Additional idea from hellchesters (Thanks so much!): Marianne has absolutely stunning and quite big lips, therefore I would take lip liner in some neutral-pinkish colour and outline the lips so they look bigger
Too cute!
