Emile slowly woke, feeling the colds icey fingers trailing up his back

He opened his eyes slowly, wincing feeling the pain flicker through his side

And remember the crash

He gasped looking up pulling sharply, feeling the chains pull at his skin, clanging as he pulled at the chair

He glanced down at himself, no shirt on, no boots feeling the cold hard ground beneath him, and his denim jeans, slightly blood stained likely from the collision with the van

Emile breathed out glancing around the dark room, remembering what happend

He swallowed shifting with a wince

He bowed his head swallowing thickly, feeling a hand sink into his hair but yank his head back making him look up into the dark eyes of makarov

"Emile hartly"

Makarov growled low, taking his jaw

"Oh how I wanted this."

He pulled away circling around emile like a predator circling it's prey

Emile breathed out watching

"No witty comebacks Mr hartly?" Makarovs smirked "no one liners nothing?" Makarov moved and emile flinched in his bindings makinh Makarov bark out a laughter

"Oh...pathetic in your age." Makarov smirked

Emile eyed a table push over, with needles to knifes and blunt weapons, his eyes flickered up to nolan he recognised him from the van

He glanced at Makarov who took up a steel pipe

"Now...this will hurt..a lot"

He moved and the pipe swung

Emile didn't know how long its been going, but everything hurt, he leant over and coughed up blood, he can tell his ribs were broken, so was his nose and maybe some other boned, his shoulder on the other hand was fire through his nerves, making his fingers twitch and feel numb from the pain

Blood oozed from his lips and nose onto his lap, staining the denim of his jeans as he coughed

He felt a hand lift his face up and he whimpered opening an eye unable to see through his right from how bruised and swollen it was

He wheezed looking at makarovs face who smirked

"Look at you pathetic..." makarov smirked "you think graves could save you? They never cared.' He dropped emiles jaw his head lolling against his chest as he wheezed

He woke to gunshots and he wheezed, hearing footsteps

"Don-dont...just getting m-my second wind..."

"Emile..." He blinked seeing phoenix face of worry

"Hey...kid..." He coughed hard feeling the retrains slip, and he slumped forwards phoenix holding him up, before slowly standing

He winced as someone shifted his right shoulder, feeling the stabbing pain go through the old injury followed by a little sorry as they slowly moved out, he lost consciousness a

Emile blinked hard, having no memory of how he got into the helicopter, but the soothing rumble was good, he heard mumbles, as he wheezed his right arm in a sling, he watched as flatline worked, feeling the needle press into his forearm, watching the IV beinh hung up as well as a blood bag, emile breathed out eyes heavy as he blacked back out

He blinked hard, feeling a small weight wiggled into his side, he glanced around seeing aspen snuggled into his side, he glanced seeing talos laying on his leg, emile breathed out seeing other shadows, sitting in chairs some out of gear others full gear still weapons In holsters,

He saw balloons and cards on small tables, as well as flowers and notes, he gave a small smile

He glanced around feeling a hand slide over his shoulder, he looked up seeing efren, his cap and mask off, he blinked seeing how efrens cheeks looked red and puffy and eyes wetter

He's been crying....

Emile moved taking his hand slowly, before interlacing his hand into efrens kissing his knuckles leaning close, efren leant in kissing over his plasters and gauzes over his face

"I should have been there..." efren whispered against emiles lips

"If you were...you would have been used to their advantage...against me..." He breathed out "you were needed here..."

Efren sighed kissing emiles forhead "I would rather fight the enemy by your side...then watch as your killed."

Emile looked at him, feeling the feelings bubbling up in his chest as he leant close kissing efrens chin

"I know..."

Efren kissed his brow, smiling softly "get to sleep"

Emile smiled eyes heavy again as he fell back asleep knowing he was safe in the shadow base

emile does have some show to his empathetic side, he can read people after years of training as a spook, which allowed him to have a sense on how others around him are feeling

To people he cares about, he'll show his support and care, in either forms of phyical or words or in his cooking or his gifts

People he doesn't really know he'll learn more to words then anything phyical or cooking

Efren Aldrich (belongs to @pampanope ) is one of those people he let behind his walls and see his hurt side, the damage from growing up and his operations, efren is likely one of the few people who can crack open the Spooks side, allowing his guard down and melt into a calmer state of mind,

they first met as handler and soldier on emiles first operation as a fully fledged spook
