You: no, you listen here bub, *stands up, advances in him, leans over him, and jabs his chest* I don't appreciate this whole attitude you've got going, and I am sure as hell not going to tolerate it.

Thorin: you're not an alpha, how are you disobeying me?

You: I have zero tolerance for bull shit that's how.

Thorin: *stares at you in awe for a moment* I still want you to stop talking to the halfling.

You: *sighs and relaxes* Thorin a better way to have gone about that was to just come out and ask to spend time with me, without being a pushy jerk.

Your hands reach out and grab my face and bring me to you.

Forehead on mine we just close our eyes.

My hand cupping your face, yours cupping mine.

We just inhale each other with the realization of what was and is.

We open our eyes and see the difference years has done to our features. We close our eyes again and breathe. We just breathe.

The wind blows as our lips tentatively join.

The dandelion blows and flows in the wind.

Time slows as we run our hands through each other’s hair, down each other’s backs, bringing our bodies closer.

I pull back with tears in my eyes and as they fall you kiss them away like a cat nuzzling its owners hand. You look into my eyes with such sadness and you fall and extend your hand for me to come with you, and fall i do. We lay in the grass staring at each other and then at the moon and stars above us.

You nuzzle my neck and my heart breaks all over again and you knowingly place a hand on my chest and kiss my cheek and whisper please, please breathe.

Not knowing i was holding my breath i inhale and begin to sob.

You pull me in and let me cry. Tears slowly flowing from your eyes you just keep shushing and stroking my hair.

It’s going to be okay.
