I have to check the math, but...
By my calculations, in the finished game 7KPP should have 131 possible (canonical) MC/LI combinations.

Do you know what I like thinking about? The Skalt delegates. Specifically, the one who Anaele mentions during the matchmaker's feast in week three. The one who made a love match. Because the kingdoms are for the most part very conservative, of course, and they mostly work the summit around the assumption that brides will follow their matches to their own country. And the male delegates are, with almost no exception, title holders, and even the ones that aren't have responsibilities and such.
On the whole I would say that the Skalt warrior taking a bride home is probably more interesting, because they're almost the only ones who *can*, but consider the possibilities. Consider a male delegate trying to figure out how to handle his place in following his bride to her homeland. Consider a Hise pirate trying to acclimate to Skalt. Consider a Jiyelian scholar who simply can't resist his curiosity. Consider the delegate who writes a frantic letter to his younger brother all like, 'dude, you're in charge now, I'll explain everything later'.
Or, you know what? Forget cis delegates. What about trans and nonbinary delegates?
I love Skalt. The possibilities are endless.
Oh my glob I've been running the numbers and there's no way that Woodly's actually 37 or whatever it says on his profile. At a stretch, he could be 40 or 39. Which maybe doesn't seem like a huge difference, but since his timeline is incredibly compressed, those couple of years mean a lot.
There are new 7KPP issues to discuss and I need to talk to someone about them in real time.
I'm reading my old 7KPP speculation posts and it's simultaneously hilarious how wrong I was about some things, and impressive how right I was about others.
It just occurred to me that if my crack theory about spoiler events in 7KPP week 5 is actually true, that would have some fascinating implications for my Yaling-related headcanons. Specifically her mother, father, grandfather and step-mother. Huh.
Chaperones are always former delegates, right? And I imagine that most MCs would not be eligible to be future chaperones, anyway. It’s a kind of diplomatic position. It’s hard to imagine any nation sending a diplomatic representative who married into the country, I think. That means a lot of the MCs are disqualified. Judging by Yvette and Jaslen the ones who might qualify are those who end the summit single, or those who marry a delegate of their own nation (e.g. Allegra, who marries Clarmont).
Just a thought.
About Sayra - my theory is that she's the secret heir to the throne. A royal child surviving a coup and being hidden somewhere is a classic trope, and Sayra seems like the best option; Mrs. White would be there to watch over her (she seems to have some authority with the rebels, from the Clarmont secret), and the island natives might be sheltering them because Sayra is from Katyia's lineage. (Though not her direct descendant, I think; didn't Aly say at some point that Katyia had no children?)
Not something that would have occurred to me, and certainly a plausible enough theory. I’ll admit right now that this is not my favorite trope. Fantasy, no matter how much I love it, is far too in love with royal lineages and divine right to rule, and I’m not sold on it.
I don’t think Sayra is being sheltered, though. I’m pretty sure rather that she’s the one doing the protecting. Ria does say more than once that she’s far too clever to be “just a maid” and I think covert agent and/or stealth bodyguard more suits her demeanor, as I think I mentioned. I am curious as to whether she’s meant to be there as backup for Mrs. White and the others, or to spy on the delegates. Or even whether she was assigned specifically to the MC because someone had marked her out as an agitator. Seems likely, given the amount of attention she gets just by default.
