In case I forget....
Thank you to my ancestors who thought of me as they walked the segregated halls of educational institutions; thank you mom for never letting me forget that my melanin is beautiful; thank you Lord for loving me even when I hated myself; thank you Mr. Beard for showing me my efforts to change my community are appreciated and an inspiration; thank you Benji for reminding me that we all had a “come to black” moment in middle school; thank you Tom for illustrating to me that everyone deserves a second chance; thank you brother for teaching me how to stand-up for myself; thank you Joe for singing radio tunes along with me before the customers flood our store; thank you Stuti for allowing me to be a good friend to you; and thank you Mikelle... for being patient with yourself.
