(I did a femslash february for wlw romances in videogames - PART 1 + PART 2 + PART 3 - but as I recently got an ask about mlm, here’s a list as well!)
Useless rpgs recs. Rpgs with mlm romances (part 2)
(part 1 here)
Mass Effect 3 = in this action space rpg, you can play as male Shepard but you can romance male characters only in the third game. One option is new character Steve Cortez, otherwise you can romance Kaidan Alenko (in gif), who has been a companion in Mass Effect 1 as well (but romancable only by female characters).
Icewind Dale = this DnD fantasy isometric rpg doesn’t normally have companions or romances, but with this mod you can add a romance with gay cleric half-orc Dusky (I also suggest this mod for extra companions)
Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire = in this isometric fantasy rpg you continue the story of the Watcher, from Pillars of Eternity, this time with a ship and romances! You can romance your companion from game 1, Aloth (in pic), or your new companions Tekehu and Serafen.
Pathfinder: Kingmaker = while this fantasy isometric rpg has a lot of wlw options, there is only a male option for a male character: Regongar. Reg is one of your character’s companions and can be romanced by any gender. You can break up Regongar and Octavia (they are together), or you can romance them both! Tricks to romance Tristian with a male character.... start as female, after you meet Tristian and have your first romantic talks (pre chapter 1) you can respec your character as male with the mod.
Fallout 4 = in this post apocalyptic action rpg, you can romance any character with any gender! The male possible romances are John (in the gif), Preston or Maccready.
Life is Strange 2 = in this adventure supernatural game you play as Sean, and one of the romance options is Finn.
Always Sometimes Monsters = in this pixel art rpg, you have to manage time and money to stop the wedding (or just attend it) of your ex partner. You can decide the gender of your character and the gender of your ex partner.
Dragon Age: Inquisition = this is more than known, but in case you don’t, this is a fantasy action rpg, better played after DA Origins and DA 2. You play as the Inquisitor, and as a male inquisitor you can romance two male characters: Dorian (in gif) and Iron Bull.
Eternal Home Floristry = in this very small and free pixel rpg, you play as an ex assassin starting a new life with a florist mentor. Based on your choices, you can reunite the main character with his ex boyfriend.
80 Days = this is a choose your own adventure, text based game where you play as Passepartout, the valet of Fogg who just accepted the bet: a journey around the world in 80 days. You will have to choose the route and you can find two male love interests: Octave in New Orleans and Jokinen (in pic) in the Arctic route. Furthermore, it seems clear that the player can play a Passepartout in love with Fogg (but non reciprocal).
Heart of Steel (80 days fangame)
I cannot update on AO3 so here I am. Basically I just have created a fan fiction-game of Fogg/Passepartout using exactly the same game engine. The plot is basically: Indeed people say Monsieur Fogg is like a machine, but in this Steampunk world, some may reach even further conclusions. The link is: https://chlokers.itch.io/heartofsteel I'm dying for responses. Just. Any.
Wake up and fly around the world!
80 Days.
I recently acquired 80 Days from the Humble Bundle Deal (which was an absolute steal for the games that were up for offer) and have been playing it since I installed it. At first, I didn’t know what to expect, but quickly I learnt exactly what all the fuss was about.
80 Days is an experience where you play as Jean Passepartout, who partakes on a shared adventure travelling around the world alongside their Master, a Non-Playable Character, Phileas Fogg, after he informs Passepartout that if they can complete the trip within 80 days, there will be a large reward.
since I haven’t drawn anything remotely related to classic lit/Verne recently:
I uhhhh was messing around on my Instagram filters and I had saved the personality type one and apparently one of my drawings is realistic enough for it to work
may I present this cursed video
100 lgbtq+ videogames characters (097): PASSEPARTOUT (80 Days)
