Boy Meets World: My best friend’s girl
This is a really great episode. This is where Shawn decided to help get Cory together with Topanga. After the summer Cory wants to Topanga to be his girlfriend but he is too shy. So shawn gets together with Cory’s best friend Trini and helps bring them together. Shawn asks out Topanga and Cory wants to get even so he asks out Trini. This is your typical High school episode that deals with dating and relationships. In the end of course Cory and Topanga get together. They just needed a little push from their friends. This episode had very funny parts. Trini was a real character and she basically grossed Cory out but he pretended to be interested only to make Topanga jealous. It clearly worked. This was a light hearted episode and makes me think of all the good things about the 90′s.
Full House: Nerd for a day
I think this was a very important episode. It focused on bullies. When Stephanie and her classmates start teasing a nerdy kid in school, Uncle Jesse teaches Stephanie about what it means to be a friend and to stick up for others. Walter ends up having a crush on Stephanie and her friends tease her about it. In the end Stephanie stands up for Walter and teachers her friends how awful it is to be teased. I don’t like the scenes in which her friends are teasing Walter, but the lessons in this episode are priceless. They are also done in a way in which is not preachy but has morals. Walter was annoying but it was also kind of cute and sweet how much he liked Stephanie. My favorite scene was also where Stephanie called him on the telephone to apologize and then she put Jesse on the phone. Stephanie and Jesse had some great scenes together in this episode that were very touching. Overall it was a much needed episode.
Boy Meets World: Home
This is a good episode. When Shawn moves in with the Matthews after his dad leaves, everyone has to adjust to the new living arrangements. Shawn feels cramped at their house and he feels like he needs to be wild and free. He also misses his dad. Amy and Alan feel like they have to make him feel at home but things get awkward. There are funny moments when Amy patches his pants and buys him a hoodie just like Cory’s. Also Shawn is drinking and eating all their food. In the end Jonathan Turner ends up offering Shawn a place to stay. Shawn accepts because he feels like he is more at home there and Jonathan won’t treat him like a little kid. It’s a good arrangement for all. I liked the dynamic of the two of them living together.
Full House: Breaking up is hard to do( in 22 minutes)
This was a pretty funny episode. It focus’s on the relationship between Jesse and Becky. They end up breaking up because they feel that they fight all the time because they don’t have anything in common. She wants to ride horses and he wants her to come hear his band play. They get into a huge fight and break up. The dynamics between them are pretty funny. Jesse thinks Becky has a date so he asks out someone else. Meanwhile DJ and Stephanie want to get them back together so they come up with a plan to tell them both how much the other one is sorry. One of the funniest parts is when Jesse keeps talking about Becky to his date and then he promises not to mention her name or anything that rhymes with it like Shecky or Trecky. In the end they get back together and realize that they can still be a couple and have their own interests.
Boy Meets World: Career Day
I think this was a very important episode of Boy Meets World. It was career day and Cory was embarrassed to have his dad come talk to his class about his career of running a grocery store. Everyone thought Shawn’s dad was so cool because he told crazy stories but Shawn knew they were all a lie. It turns out that Chet( Shawn’s dad) was there to tell Shawn that his mom had took off and Chet was going to go look for her. Chet didn’t think that the road was the place for Shawn to be, so at the end of the episode he asks Cory’s parents if Shawn could stay with them. Of course they say yes. Cory then realizes what a wonderful father his dad is and he is no longer embarrassed to have him as a father. He realizes that what Alan does outside of work is much more important and how he is always there for his kids. It’s a great lesson and this episode is a very special one. I felt really bad for Alan when none of the kids found his work interesting.
