WE START WITH MICHAEL i realise this looks NOTHING like him. sorry i failed again.

skater beanie / shirt and tie stolen from dad / long sleeve underneath / slacks + dress shoes

i kind of did classic skater ironic dress clothes for him? we see in s2 when everyone stops wearing jcpenney that he starts wearing a shirt and tie so i wanted to incorporate that. but in a very 90s skater way (he's the one i leaned into skater fashion the most w cause i drew him first)

now PETER would be classic grunge all over - it just seems to align with his sensibilities.

won't let mike cut his hair / hoodies or cardigans he's had since middle school / tees from goodwill or lifted / jeans that have naturally occurring holes incl a hole under his ass (insp by my jeans which have that exact hole #rip) / shoes also from middle school

he does grunge / antifashion as a statement against capitalism and the rise of fast fashion. in the show he starts to dress very hippy but i think if he was in the 90s that line of thinking would probably lead him to grunge.

for MICKY it might look plain but there's intricacies

tie dyed shirts that he does himself / necklace + bracelets / comfy wide jeans from goodwill / clogs

i think given the tablecloth none of this is a far leap. i believe in tye dye / baggy pants / clogs micky SUPREMACY the clogs are cause i couldn't think of anything else plus i think he'd rock them

finally DAVY yes this also doesn't look like him at all

90s heartthrob haircut / silly little sunnies / turtleneck chic / jacket he brought from england which is the nicest thing the monkees own collectively and they all steal it for dates / lost of rings / one clean pair of jeans / dress shoes

he kind of goes for a more clean cut dandy popstar look given his very britishness and coolness. sorry i forgot he also has a GAY LITTLE EARRING. i think the sunnies are the most integral part of 90s davy thanks.
