So I've been watching more of the 90s Moomin and a line that caught me so off-guard was when Hodgkins was telling Moominpappa to watch out for the Booble's foot and he said "don't worry, he pays for the funeral."

Okay so I was looking through reddit because I was confused about a few things from the 90s moomin anime, and i saw something saying that the show messed a bunch of stuff up because they changed things from the book (which is apparent) and that they messed up the generational things with the mymble family because they made Mumble/Mymble Jr. Little My's mom??? (also do they just call her Mumble in the dub to be able to know shes different from Mymble?) I'm only on episode 30 so maybe they made some major lore changes in the next 48 episodes but as far as I've seen Little My and Mumble/Mymble Jr. have only ever referred to each other as sisters. They live together, yeah, but also I'm pretty sure in a lot of adaptations and maybe the original books? I'm not sure, but in most things (i think) (and besides moominvalley because mymble jr doesnt exist fsr </3) Mumble/Mymble Jr. is depicted as Little My's caretaker whilst their mom takes care of their other 30 something siblings. And I'm aware that the mymble grandma in the anime isnt correct because Mymble herself is supposed to be the one with antennae not the grandma, but Mumble/Mymble Jr. isn't Little My's mom??? did i not get to a part yet or is that just wrong
