As part of our ongoing 1-year anniversary celebration in Detroit we decided to try and pick 5 of our favorite Lick the Plate on @939theriver episodes. It was nearly impossible as there have been SO many fun shows, but we came up with a diverse list that includes Bryan Krawczyk from Bumbo's today @bumbos_bar Mike Mouyanis from Zeke's Rock and Roll BBQ @zekesrnrbbq Tuesday, Alexandra Clark from @bonbonbonchocolate Wednesday, Janet Belcoure from Roma Cafe @romacafedetroit Thursday, Jacques Driscoll from @greendotstables, @johnnynoodleking and @huron_room Friday. First concerts, dream concert lineups, and tales of feeding musicians from this group include Ween, Sigur Ros, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minelli, The Suicide Machines, The Misfits, Nelly and more. I've walked by the Dirty Girl Farm @dirtygirlfarm booth at the Royal Oak Farmers Market for years thinking hmm "Dirty Girl Farm on Lick the Plate... That sounds like a fun show."
