❝WELL, i’m absolutely all for flattery, but are ya’ talkin’ to the right person, sugar?❞ mimi had just gotten out of work early after batting her eyelashes at her boss, and did not expect this type of greeting whatsoever—-well, because she seldom ever got one of the kind. suffice to say, the female was adorable and she wasn’t the type to turn down compliments. ❝what brings you out during the night time, anyway? ya’ look too nice to be around here, weird people come out during this time, y’know.❞ this wasn’t so much of a threat but a warning, maybe in a different setting this meeting would have gone very differently, but eh, it was a saturday.
If Corinne could nod her head with more avidity, she would. It was another one of those days when her car decided to torture her by making her have no choice but to choose public transportation to get to her job. Corinne couldn’t count how many times she has had to walk home alone and in the dark this week and she was never afraid of anything happening to her but there was a strange vibe outside today...and Corinne listened to her intuition more than she listened to her parents as a child. The streets were vacant and she had been hearing rustling sounds from behind her for a while now. Each time she’d calmly turn her head, it would stop. It wasn’t until the sight of this woman that Corinne’s heartbeat to simmer down. Her words came out of nowhere but there was no lie behind it. “I’m walking home from work. I thought I have been hearing things for over half an hour now and no one has been around so it’s nice to finally see another human being...I’m sorry if that was weird of me to say.” Corinne would have commented on the woman’s warning, but now all she could focus on was one thing: this girl is really pretty.
