TWENTY. HOURS. HOLY. CROW.
Oh geez, I remember singing this song...in my room...daydreaming...
Almost surreal when the daydream is about to become real life...
IT'S AUGUST. that is all.
Me, just now
One week.
Almost exactly one week from RIGHT NOW I will be waiting on his plane to land. And then it will. And then we will, finally, be in the same physical space. No wires, no screens, no miles, no air left between us. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. I have no doubts that there will be tears and kisses and absolute bliss. Seven days. Plus or minus twenty minutes.
...
Does anybody else have a thing....a thing they've always wished or hoped or dreamed their SO would say? I do. Did. He said it. Mush, I am. "I know I'm not your first, but I will be your last." *shivers*
I just wanna wake up and see you sleeping next to me.
The List (of things I look forward to doing with you):
[Note: This list is a work in progress.]
Holding your hand.
Planning trips to places we’ve always wanted to go.
Leaving surprise gifts in coat pockets and under pillows.
Blowing bubbles at the park.
Creating memories and filling scrapbooks with mementos of our things we’ve done together.
Going on last-minute road trips.
Writing love notes and leaving them for you to find if I’ll be away.
Greeting you at the door in nothing but your tie and a smile.
Feeding each other berries in bed.
Dancing in the kitchen, with or without music.
Singing you love songs, whenever the mood strikes.
Taking long walks together—in the rain, in the snow…anywhere you want to go.
Enjoying leisurely breakfasts in bed.
Watching fireworks on a blanket on the shore of the lake.
Spending hours just kissing and holding each other.
Giving you a massage after a long day at work. Or just because.
Going to see a new movie at midnight.
Leaving messages on the bathroom mirror.
Giving you my undivided attention—for hours.
Create a loving home.
Remembering our first kiss.
Saying the things that make your heart and brain go all fuzzy.
Leaving work early just to spend time with you.
Taking you out for ice cream, just because.
Having a picnic with nobody else around.
Spending a weekend at a bed and breakfast, just us, our favorite books, and copious amounts of tea.
Cooking your favorite foods for you…and introducing you to new ones.
Spending time with you with no distractions.
Sharing things we love with each other.
Meeting your family and introducing you to mine.
Showering together.
Going on adventures, wherever they may take us.
Painting an invitation on my skin with edible paints for you to discover.
Driving through the countryside, with the windows down and the stereo up.
Watching local theatre performances—of anything.
Visiting museums, bookstores, and art shows together.
Waking you up with tea and a kiss.
Kissing you good night.
Going skinny dipping in the moonlight.
Watching sunrises and sunsets.
Making out in the rain.
Snuggling with you under a blanket on a cold day.
Stargazing from back porches, balconies—wherever we are.
Hugging you for no reason.

Falling asleep in each other’s arms.
Nine Days
Nine days until I can: Kiss your sleepy-face when I have to go to work you have the day off. Cuddle you until my "no, really, get up" alarm sounds. Kiss you "one more time" before I have to leave. Only nine days. I can do this. -sigh-
