There's no category for fidget toys specifically, but toys in general fall under 790.133, and books on fidget spinners have been placed there or 793.4 for "action games." The time period, mid-to-late 2010s, would be under 973.932 and 973.933 (though most of those are about political/governmental/civic history rather than social history/fads)

Morning Earworm: I rediscovered this song on an old mixtape (are there new mixtapes?) a year or so ago and listen to it every so often now. I love the starkness of it; really moody and beautiful. I first heard it, of course, on 97x (BAM!).

I’ve been looking forward to this since it was announced in March.

I’m reading her excellent book about 97X WOXY (chapter four is up next for me), and in her newsletter from last week, Robin James makes “the case that you should listen to to some or all of this year’s countdown even if you have no interest in WOXY in and of itself.”

She’s got seven big, good reasons, but perhaps most intriguing—and a point she argues about the station repeatedly in the book: “It offers a more accurate and in-depth account of the history of post-punk/modern rock/indie than any of the orthodox narratives …”
