Life Drawing; Museum

I’ve never really tried drawing animals before, and it was more fun and more helpful than I anticipated. Particularly whilst drawing the birds, it helped identify some distinct traits in each animal, and that’s something I tried to keep in mind in the second half of this activity.

I didn’t do well whilst designing these creatures. I stuck too closely to one concept (weasel like creature mixed with another creature) and I didn’t really let myself really try anything else. I also started drawing them a lot more simply in order to get more done, but in doing that I sacrificed a lot of the details that I liked so much in the first half.
