Her mother has a Vanishing Twin Syndrome. Tate’s (her twin brother) fetus vanished during her pregnancy—natalia absorbed her twin’s fetal tissue while she was still in the womb. At the age of seven, Natalia (her real name) knew about it and despite not fully understanding what it meant, she believes that when she absorbed her twin, she absorbed a part of his soul hence, she started calling herself Tate.
