Inspirational Post Week 4: “F*ck Money Spread Love”

     Last year my favorite rapper, J.Cole put out an album called 2014 Forest Hill Drive. This album represented his story of how he gained success. 

     On January 9th, J.Cole has a hour concert special airing on HBO. Leading up to the airing of his special he’s doing a minnie documentary series showing his whole rollout process with his 2014 Forest Hill Drive album. The first video in this installment is called “F*ck Money Spread Love”. In this video, J.Cole is shown personally visiting fans and letting them hear his album. He also tells people his new attitude in approaching his success. 

     This is so inspirational for me because I used to want the same type of flashy success he talks about in this video. I wanted the material things, the accolades, and etc. But after listening to this album, my mindset began to change. None of the money or accolades will never be enough. Things won’t make me happy. But if I love what I do and appreciate what I already have, that will fill me up. There’s always going to be more money to get or another goal to accomplish, but true happiness lies in the moment. Seeing him get to live out his dream and travel the world makes me feel like I can do the same thing.
