Yoo-hoo I see you, Doug-a-lissa! 😏
This was a poem I wrote while I was at AIT (Advanced Individual Training) back in 2017. It was a hell (literally for many reasons.) of a year. I went through a self-identity crisis (I know, what a wonderful time to have one, right?) and some other things during this time including my dad being very ill. I didn't understand the true extent of that fact until I started living with him after receiving an uncharacteristic discharge (one of the neutral discharges that one can receive in the Army.). This was written a good bit of months before he passed away right before my very eyes. I rewrote it not too long ago in a notebook of mine. The original one was written in a Facebook post in a different notebook that never got posted which is good because it was the length of a chapter or two in a novel or more. LOL! I write like I speak sometimes. Sometimes it is a blessing and other times it is a curse.
This poem was inspired by a certain part of a chapter in "Look Me in the Eye: My Life with Asperger's" by John Elder Robinson and the overall similarities that I found in his life and mine concerning our thoughts and feelings about ourselves and others when it came to social interactions. It is a wonderful book! Unfortunately, it got very wet due to an issue in my boyfriend's house so I had to toss it. I was actually quite devestated because I bought it while I was in the Army in Fort Jackson, SC. It actually meant quite a bit to me because I am a very sentimental person. The specific part that I am mentioning about being inspired by were John's thoughts essentially about himself and how he felt connected to people at a concert and also being proud of some things that he did or created that the crowd enjoyed whenever he was the sound engineer amongst other things for famous musicians back in the 70's and 80's if I am not mistaken. The man was an absolute beast as they say to be honest! I guess you could say that in a sense I borrowed the feel of that certain part and took it in a different direction than what he did. I just found and read that part of the book on a website where you can borrow novels online for an hour or 14 days, I believe is the full extent you can borrow and then purchase if you choose to do so. Anyway, I just wanted to double check myself before I actually posted this. It is all good in the neighborhood, folks! What I wrote and what he wrote and published are two different things entirely.
Anywho, here you go I suppose. Enjoy!
P.S.-- I hate that I have to say this, but due to some issues we have run across on Tumblr and other sites as of late, please do not plagiarize. These are my thoughts that I came up with based on my own personal experiences and such. Yes they were inspired by one particular part of a chapter in a book in a way and the topic of the book itself, but what I have written down isn't anywhere close to being word for word to what the author wrote and had published (I made sure of that to be on the safe side.). I simply got inspired to write down similar feelings that I feel when it comes to myself and social interactions with people in general whether it is at a party or somewhere else entirely. That is the only thing these writings have in common. BIG difference there. Thank you.
P.S. #2--That last part wasn't directed at anyone in particular. I just mentioned it to show that I myself am not plagiarizing and to be frank, I'm just an anxious worry wart sometimes which is why I read that part of the book just to be on the safe side before I even posted this. I can't stand people who take other people's actual blood, sweat, tears, and sometimes life and say it is theirs. It sickens me a lot to be honest. Sorry for this. Rant over now, I promise.
Update to what is going on
Hey Peeps!
I got in touch with my boyfriend at the hospital. He told me they found 4 small kidney stones, but he thinks he already passed one from what the doctor described to him. He was prescribed some medication and they told him to let them know if he feels more pain from the cyst on his lung. So... That part is just a waiting and checking in on himself game for now. The really good news is that he should be released anywhere from 4-6 pm today. Depending upon the time, it will either be me or at the very least one of his parents coming to pick him up.
I'll be leaving for work around 6 so I can tackle my buildings a.s.a.p. since Sunday is the worse night of my work week. I didn't get to bed until about 7 something this morning (That was when I actually got tired enough to go to sleep.) and woke up around 11 something. All I have had other than left overs last night is about 3/4 of coffee because I drove up to the hospital about 30-40 minutes ago to have someone at the hospital give him his charger which he just said that he has received. He is planning on taking a little nap. I am hoping that he actually can since I am not there and he is an insomniac.
Poor thing... He has had it so rough this year. I am hoping and praying that things will get better for the both of us. I am looking forward to seeing him again and cuddling the shit out of him. I missed him so much last night. Anyway, I am going to get something to eat because I am quite hungry. Ta ta for now!
@mantrix86 if you read this anytime soon before you get back home ( I know you will at least read it sometime later on.), I am here to warn you that I am going to cuddle and kiss the shit out of you and be even more of a barnacle to you than I already am. I have missed you so much D! Last night was really weird and odd for me. I also had a really strange dream too. It wasn't a nightmare, but it was really weird and once I woke up from it, it was hard to get back to sleep again without you there.
Sincerely, Kendra E. Jones
Another art piece that I decided to do for fun.
Biromantic Demisexual flag represented on a hand & arm (Specifically my hand & arm traced on paper.)
I have no clue what to call this. I might create another version of the same flag just in a slightly different design. I don't know. We'll see I suppose.
Hahahahahaha!!! 😂 *Inhales* Hahahahahaha!!! *Exhales in wheezin' laughter*
I just had to post this, I had to for myself and my Rhink lovin' Peeps.
Anyway, this meme post comes from r/goodmythicalmorning by Sissinou. I wanted to make sure that they get the credit they deserve for at least posting it. I'm not completely sure if they created the meme, but just in case they did I credited it for the creativity of the meme itself.
It is a brilliant as hell meme and very fucking hilarious in it's undeniable truth!
This one of the many things that shows how freakin' awesome my boyfriend is.
He sent this to me from the reddit app on Facebook messenger yesterday. He sends me things like this from reddit all the time. Sometimes, it is cute as hell kitty and doggy pics and or videos and sometimes it is stuff that fuels my obsession with my fandom ships like this for instance. He mostly sends me these while I am working to make me smile and or laugh because of how annoying and taxing my job can be. Just like he sends me things that I enjoy, I also send him things from Tumblr as well that I think he would love and or laugh at. Anywho, this is a ship that started because of him introducing me to GMM. In fact, he pretty much said to me that you are going to love this show so much because of the hosts and you are going to ship them big time! As you can see here, that turned out being true. I had a feeling that would be true because that is how he convinced me to watch Supernatural other than mentioning the show featuring monsters and such based on actual lore, folktales, myths, and such like that with the additional mention of Destiel and now I ship all kinds of characters together from the show as well. So... yeah a good bit of my later years shipping as I call it is all because of his introduction to shows and such like that he knew that I would like or love.
With that long ass soliloquy finally over. Enjoy the post Rhink folks!
