When it comes to Jace’s accent I feel like it was more Idris during tmi and probably sounded something in-between German, Switzerland and French because it's canonically located between them but during tda he has more of a new york kind of accent because he sa been in nyc for 12 years at this point. It would be weird if he hasn't got at least a but of an nyc accent at this point
That would make sense 🤔
I bet the others like Clary and Simon still have stronger New York accents tho 🤣
While you and @magnus-the-maqnificent make Janus kidnapping the tmi gang hilarious I think that the thing that will happen is Shinyun and tbvotd considering that twp1 and tbvotd are going to take place in the time
Heya, lovely
Yeah, it'll probably be her or maybe Sammael.
I do think the idea of Janus is hilarious though.
But it'll probably have something to do with Shinyun and the princes of hell probably. *sigh*
Either way there is room for potential crack 🤣🤣
I wonder if like Clace's or Sizzy's wedding gets crashed 🤔
Definitely their wedding planning.
We know Jace considers the Lightwoods his family (and I love that sm) but we've seen that with Alec, Izzy, Max and Maryse. What do you think his relationship was with Robert.
Heya, dear panda
Sorry I didn't answer this yesterday
Me and Dani actually did talk about this before, and Dani said that she didn't think there was much of a relationship there. And I agree.
We know Robert was a distant father, so I don't think he was there much for any of his kids (at least not when they were younger. Which sadly is the time you should be involved in their lives so they can develop a connection with their parent.) I think Robert was a little indifferent with Jace, more so, probably, after finding out he wasn't Michael's son. I think he probably had a slight fondness of Jace, but I don't think he was really there.
And in City of Ashes, we see Maryse say that Jace should stay for them all, and that Robert would want to see him, in which Jace replies "I doubt that." Which tells me Jace wasn't close with Robert. And when Robert's children are mentioned, I can't actually think of a time he mentioned Jace, at least not explicitly :/
Something I always loved, was how Robert was the one who insisted on taking Jace in, when Maryse was persistent to not do so, but Maryse was the one who ended up loving Jace the most and saw him as her own. We also see that in Son of the Dawn, Robert comments on how Jace doesn't look anything like Michael (we know why 🤭) but he seemed a little unsure to me then
I do like to think that maybe after finding out Jace was Stephen and Céline's son, that he might have tried to look for resemblance of those two in Jace, and he probably did remind Robert a little of them. (I don't entirely believe in the "Jace has many of Valentine's traits" stuff) especially in Jace's silly/humourous nature, that is similar to Stephen and Céline (as we see them joking with and teasing Robert in The Wicked Ones) and perhaps, Robert didn't want to see them in Jace or saw too much and didn't like to think about, as that would mean he'd have to dig up the past, so that might play a part.
We also have Jocelyn say that like Céline, Jace had the quality about him that made him seem so vulnerable, that you wanted to protect him. So I think maybe Robert also felt that way, maybe. He probably had a kind of respect as well, since Jace is a great Shadowhunter (but he's so much more than that.) But we know Nephilim value being a great warrior over being am artist, musician, etc. So I think he probably had a respect for the great warrior Jace is.
I could probably keep going, but this is getting long. But to sum it up, I don't think there was much of a relationship there. I think Jace probably did care for Robert, himself. But I think it was just in that way Jace cares about people he knows, and maybe even moreso on behalf of Alec and Izzy. I do think Jace did try to make Robert proud in a sense, as we know Jace's greatest fears are to be a disappointment or fail or be seen as weak; so I think somewhere deep down he may have wanted Robert to be proud of him. But I don't think Robert was that parent who constantly told his kids he was proud of them, I think he did say it from time to time, but not a lot (especially not when they were younger)
God, this is long 🤣🤣
You know what I just realized? During the secrets of the blackthorn hall we could get some new tmi art👀
Okay, but i was thinking that too 😭
