after giving that little backstory on how yakuza boss sukuna and reader met this drabble came to mind; reader is still a hostess in this one! sukuna calls you little lamb
you huff as you drop onto the sofa in the private lounge, arms crossed tight over your chest, a pout tugging at your lips.
sukuna glances away from his drink, his eyes sitting on you. “what got you frowning, little lamb?” he asks, voice low, the pad of his thumb brushing your hair back from your face.
you shift beside him, still sulking. “the other girls keep saying i must’ve done some kind of black magic on you, that it’s the only reason you keep coming back to me”
he lets out a low laugh, amused, before setting his glass down. without warning, he grabs you by the waist and pulls you effortlessly into his lap — one arm curls possessively around you, the other resting on your thigh, fingers splayed lazily.
“they might be right” he says, lips brushing close to your ear. “why else would i keep coming back? i wasn’t that kind of man. it’s strange, even to me”
you frown, irritated by his teasing. “then don’t. there are plenty of men who’d kill for a night with me. and apparently, there’s no shortage of women throwing themselves at you either”
you raise your fist to punch his chest, but he catches your hand mid air.
“careful.” he clicks his tongue, annoyance flickering in his eyes. “little lamb, you should watch that sharp tongue”
he brings your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles softly before his teeth sink gently into your finger. not hard, but enough to remind you who you’re playing with.
you smirk, because you know exactly how to get under his skin. “what? you jealous?”
“no”, he says flatly, gaze never leaving yours, your hand still lingers against his mouth. “i’m murderous. next time you mention another man, i’ll kill him”
you roll your eyes, though your stomach flips at the way he says it — like he means it, and you know he does. you’ve seen him do it.
“then what about the other girls?” you mutter. “they can’t seem to keep their eyes off you”
sukuna just laughs, as if the thought itself is beneath him.
“they’re just background noise, little lamb. i never even cared to learn their names”, he says, eyes narrowing slightly before his hand moves to your chin, tilting your face until your eyes meet his. “but i knew yours before you ever even looked my way. you still think they stand a chance?”
