My favorite thing about having both dyslexia and ADHD is when they team up.
And the dyslexia is like “the order of letters in that name never was and never will be your business and also has no bearing on the pronunciation.” A lie.
And the ADHD is like “the executives are disfunctioning. that other name you use regularly no longer exists in your brain. guess you’re calling that congressional candidate a 3 time loser.” Factually accurate, but rude. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So you know how you have a fake name? The name you give when rando’s ask for it at a bar or cat call you on the street or whatever. I’ve always used Cassandra for unknown reasons.
Unrelated, I’m watching West Wing for the first time in like 10 years. And I grew up watching this show on a loop. Like, it was all I watched from the age of 12 until it ended. No, I was not a normal kid.
Anyway, Zoey is at a bar, getting harassed by some dickhead, and she gives him a fake name. And guess what name it is?
A fun little hold over from living in Ireland almost a decade ago is that apparently my brain still processes temps in the teens and 20s as Celsius. It’s hardly ever that cold here so I haven’t noticed until this week.
Bed hog.
I forgot how much time and planning and patience it takes to actually do my hair.
