“O-oh, I don’t- I don’t think I know the answer to this one....” Grey eyes skirted to the side, away from the practice test lying mockingly on the old oak table before them. They hadn’t known the answer to the question before, either. Or the question before that. Or the question before that. Honestly, they hadn’t even written their name on top of the paper yet, as anxious and distracted they’d been by the sinking feeling in their stomach upon reading the first question. They didn’t think they’d be able to do any of the questions, and this was only the practice test!! What would happen when the real test came around?? They’d been told that Professor Stein’s tests were rather harsh, but this was a disaster!! They’d fail it, for sure!! And then- and then their grades would drop, and they’d fail the class, and then they’d have to drop out and leave Shibusen and Crona couldn’t do that- this was the only place they had now, and if they left, they’d never be able to see Maka again and- and-!!
“Ugyuuu...” The ( unused ) pencil in their hand dropped to the surface of the table with a clatter that, in the silence of the library, sounded almost deafening, and ten shaking fingers wound into lavender hair with every intention of anxiously tugging. This was too haaaaard! School life was too haaard!! Everything was too haaaaard and Crona didn’t know how to deal with any of it yet!!
