im tired of the sweet/nice/innocent/normal duke thomas characterization when we talk about the batfamily- esp since hes canonically jaded and sarcastic. like he has complicated feelings about his powers and gotham and the batfamily. and yes, he's nice, but he's also really smart and complex and a deeply interesting character that is pigeon holed like many poc characters are in media (like even cass tbh) to being the unproblematic, un-complex, self-actualized one instead of being given the attention and depth from fans as their white counter parts. and i know he's newer, in comparison to say bruce or dick, but he's here now and if i see him as the "actually really self-actualized" one in the new umbrella academy meme or as troy holding the pizza in the still from community (you know the one) im gonna loose it.

My favorite part of watching JCS is seeing what direction a production goes in, like are we going for full stage musical or rock concert? Is it dance heavy or will that be saved for the overture, Superstar and what have you?

My sexuality is not "hot" nor "sexy". Saying that bi girls are hot or we're dirty girls doesn't empower us! It's degrading and dehumanizing to fetishize us or tell us we're "dirty girls".

I don't see people going around saying, "Omg! Itssss soooo hot that you're straight!!!" to straight people. So why do you do it us?

Go away. It makes me want to keep my sexuality a secret. It makes me uncomfortable to be open about it when I see people do this. Not to mention, I've been a victim of this type of shit. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

P.S. This goes for all sexualities of any gender. We just want to live in peace.

I like how you have no clue how many followers someone has on tumblr. I definitely think that’s what has me frustrated with how people get on insta. The follow count drives them almost purely extrinsically instead of being content- or person-driven. You get people on there parading or demanding that “follow for follow”, or people who follow then a day later unfollow, and it’s such instability.

In conclusion, tumblr may be problematic but at least it’s not pervasively THAT type of problematic.

wowza i’m tired of cosmopolitan/buzzfeed/whatever posting those I Didn’t Wear Makeup For A Week - Look What Happened things cos it’s always a bunch of people with unproblematic skin anyway and it really undermines how difficult dealing with skin problems such as acne etc is. it’s always Omg I Have Two(!!!) Spots And No Makeup, End My Life rather than acne has made me feel disgusted with myself and has contributed greatly to my mental health issues and the medicine i have to use to make my skin Like Yours has serious side effects, including worsening my depression. send me ur thoughts

On another note, though

Bambam has been causing a lot of controversy lately, though. I don’t know if he doesn’t know that somethings need to be left unsaid or if he’s just living in the moment. I understand the whole ‘they said it, Imma say it’ mentality. I did it when I studied Spanish shortly and now while I’m studying Korean. But either way he needs to chill out a little and make sure what he says and does isn’t offensive. He still needs to apologize, though. And maybe explain his side a little so some of these overly ignorant people can understand better.
