Today was the day I finally understood this versicle. It is talking about the value of the presence of God. It means that the value of a single day with God does not compare to a thousand anywhere else. Not a great house, or a great party, nor club, nor mansion, nor city, nor a country, not a workplace, not anything. Nothing compares to a single day.

Although it goes further as you grow nearer to God. You understand that a thousand day in His presence are better than just one away from it. Because living a day away is not living at all
