ok so im from eastern europe, the seasons my parents grew up in meant 3 months of show 1-2 meters tall (in the bad winters even 6) so around -15/10°C in winter
in summer, a heatwave meant 2-3 days of 32°C at most, 150ish years ago 34°C was a one-day-record
AND NOW
I OPEN MY TV
AND SEE COMMERCIALS ABOUT DEODORANT THAT LASTS UP TO 45°C
THIS IS HELL, WE SHOULDN'T NEED THAT, IT'S THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY WE EXPERIENCE 40°C FOR CONSECUTIVE DAYS JUST SO AFTER THAT THERE ARE STORMS SO BAD OUR SUBWAY (yes its romania we have only one subway) GETS FLOODED
also the winter thing its sad af, i grew up with snow for the first idk 10-13 years of my life and hearing my parents childhood stories about it, now the new generations have no idea how snow used to look, how it was actually the fairytale type, how you were able to build snowmen that lasted for months, how you could walk as a kid in the snow and fall and your parents had to search up for you
now winters are 2-3 days of snow per year, maybe a week or two but the snow turns into that brown mush nobody wants to touch, when i was a kid it was so bad my eyes hurt when i had to leave the house because everything was so shiny
sometimes it snowed in easter
like we were a hard-winter type of country
when my mother taught me how to build a snowman she said "don't build them while it's snowing, wait a night or two after so the snow frozens a little and becomes more sturdy" AND NOW WE CAN'T DO THAT BECAUSE IN A DAY OR TWO THE SNOW IS GONe
but thats me being romantic rn, WE ARE BEING FRIED, I AM BOILED ALIVE
also all our crops are dead
