Sam saw the quarterback, Finn, coming toward him as he was loading his books into his locker in preparation to go to lunch. But it wasn't him that caught his eye, no, it was the boy in the wheelchair he was pushing toward him. He tried to hear what they were saying and he vaguely heard the wheelchair-bound boy say something about someone named Tina. Sam frowned. Another straight boy, but then he thought about how his last boyfriend had been straight--or so the boy had thought. Finn introduced him as Artie and immediately Sam started to come up with couple names in his head. Sartie? A-a-am? That would be worked out later, because Finn was asking him about glee club. He followed, mostly because he wanted to see more of Artie. By the time they'd finished Billionaire, Sam knew two things. One, he wanted to be friends with Artie. Two, he wanted to be close to him, like those two cheerios he'd seen in the hallway with the interlocked pinkies.
