Reposted from @northcentralshelter When you hear my name, “Benson,” you might remember the popular 1970s TV show about a governor’s butler or the upscale British cigarette brand.. neither to which I relate. I’m a guesstimated nine-year-old, neutered, brown tabby boy, weighing a thin nine pounds. I’ve been at the East Valley shelter since April 13. And believe me, I’m counting the days until I’m sprung. Not that I’m not grateful to the Shelter vets for treating for my skin problems, including scabies, and my recent cat cold. You know, life is hard on the streets, so they noticed my teeth aren’t the best, either. But I’m a survivor. And, to the credit of whomever named me, like the other Bensons, I have a certain elegance that doesn’t go unnoticed. I’m also a friendly guy. I like being pet and admired. I just need someone who understands I’ve lived a complicated life. A safe home, with a steady supply of food, and some warm-hearted TLC would be a wonderful next chapter for me.
