hello just wanted to say i love your astrology posts so much! i was curious what ur take is on taemin/taeyong's dynamic? i love their interactions bc it’s so rare to see taeyong act so openly clingy and aegyo-y w/someone.. most of the time when i see him w/others, he seems hyper self-conscious of his position and wary of how others react to him. its nice to see how off-guard he is around taemin and how patient and gentle taemin is with him ;v; that cancer/cancer vibe !!

My impression has been that Taeyong’s needs (emotional and relational) just straight up- are not being met in the NCT grind. He’s a cancer sun and leo moon so goddamn does he have some Needs! He has these intense fits of emotion that can seem random or even funny from the outside (ugly hat? ......cry). His members seem to cringe away from him when he’s soft and expressive. I get the sense that they don’t know how to react--- He’s supposed to be their leader and their support, not to mention their hyung. So absolutely, that translates into anxious repressed leader-mode where you can see his eyes glaze over and he comes off super robotic——he’s just not home anymore lmao. You can tell from his late-night vlive chats though that he IS learning to love and take care of HIMSELF. Cancer is intensely tied to caretaking and seeing him turn that energy inward is SO relieving to me tbh.
If we compare Ty’s support system (??? .... Doyoung?) to Taemin’s (baby of an intensely loving, supportive, tight-knit and demonstrative work family. A lifelong best friend in the industry. A squad of mutual friends to call on.) It’s easy to see Ty is missing that cancer-critical stability and why he is so intensely needy. It really makes sense how relaxed and happy he is to be babied by his superm hyungs--- He can ask for attention and affection freely, and receive it without feeling guilty about his position. He recently mentioned that he’s been talking to Taemin a lot about Life, and that ‘Taemin-hyung always turns out to be right’. That really made my heart warm. He needs that guidance and care so badly, right at the same moment that Taemin is settling into his independence and has that to offer.
Their dynamic in superm really is such a pretty mirror of cancer’s duality and paths-- Taemin the terror maknae becoming the eldest and learning how to be a good hyung. Taeyong the leader-hyung getting relieved of that burden, unclenching, and learning to accept what his hyungs willingly offer him. Reciprocal tender cancer/cancer support... i love that for them.
baekyong really be the epitome of ‘a cancer who wants to be taken care of’ and ‘a laid-back Taurus who will casually provide care’. I am a Taurus and with cancers specially it’s like, that vibe that you both want a Home, you both want your Space. And your both willing to provide that. Also Taeyong is the youngest in his family, iirc. In the past on variety shows, he’d get pretty comfy with the older cast members after a while.
MAN i do not pay all that much attention to Baek but i have such a hard time seeing the ‘laid-back Taurus’ in him. I’m sure it’s there somewhere, he clearly Wants to be perceived as Cool but like... i cannot see it. We actually know his birth time so i’m gonna pull up his chart and see if we can make some sense of this, anon!!!
Baek is and always has been, SO not above making jokes at the expense of others or manipulating a situation and room to get a laugh. His mercury is in aries and the 11th. He is playing faaaaast and loose when he’s running his mouth like that, not necessarily thinking about the bigger picture, ppls feelings, etc. It’s verbal play-fighting and winning is getting the laugh. His merc is dominant in his chart, which feels right to me. He’s a good MC, especially since he’s grown up and learned better timing and when to quit. It used to be painful but he’s really honed that skill.
I think this intensity and brashness reaaaaaally rubbed Ty the wrong way at first. As a cancer sun/leo moon one of the worst things a person can be to him is Inconsiderate. Ty wasn’t shy about saying it either bc Baek is just so LOUD with this trait, it’s obvious to everyone, and thus free game ie ‘hahaha i’ve never met someone as insane interesting as baek-hyung before hahaha wow’. That discomfort continued through their debut, and honestly Baek latched onto it and pushed Ty’s buttons intentionally-- he was kinder about it than he has been in the past, and never took it Too Far, but he did do things that he knew Ty wouldn’t like with the goal of making it Funny. Ty seemed sincerely displeased about this dynamic. This makes sense to me, Baek found a new person who was cute and responsive and expressive and easy to Win.
Sometime after that though, it’s like a flip switched for Ty? He stops shying away from Baek physically, starts actually engaging with him and touching him, and EVEN WEIRDER. gushing abt him to his members and vlive? Ty has a pretty obsessive personality w People and Relationships (my leo moon babyy) so the intensity is not surprising. But that 180 is bizarre. He hates fps games, but all he wants to do is play them w Baek-hyung and follow him around bc Baek is good and he’ll protect Ty? Baek shows up to Kick It debut stage and Ty goes all pleased and blushy under this Demonstration of Affection from his hyung?
Ty is an anxious hyung-less disaster sub who got lured into a leadership role that stresses him the FUCK out. Baek’s asc AND moon are in gemini and he’s such a perfect example of straddling that line between anxious mess gemini and FUN BUZZY gemini. If Baek’s personality off-camera really is laid-back chill Taurus and he is indulging Ty with his attention and time without Pressure.... using his experiences w anxiety and channeling his ability to read situations and people to make Ty feel loved and at ease and safe... fuck I can absolutely see it. So if you’re right and it is that Laid-Back Taurus that he’s vibing w so hard... dAMN i would like to see this ver of Baekhyun!!!!!!!!

Taeyong, mars in virgo: Ugh i’m a little biased towards this placement for ty, i love it. Mars in virgo means Taeyong has extremely high expectations. He’s always seeking perfection, but DEMANDING perfection within himself. He’s constantly pushing himself as a performer to take risks, creatively AND physically. Virgo brings a steadiness to mars energy that lets him keep his nose down and grind, a thoroughness and attention to precise detail. The fact that sm lured him in off the streets at 18 with ZERO experience in ANYTHING. His predebut journey is steeped in this. Mars in virgo has it’s drawbacks though-- virgo winds up all that mars energy a little too tight for comfort. It’s normally no big deal-- someone with this placement might be a little restless, or need a little more routine-- but rip Ty’s mars in virgo is square mercury. His straight ABILITY to relax and unwind is completely fucked up. Even when he wants to relax he can’t-- at least not without help.
