MFFF idk maybe the yandere is so elated to have a dinner with darling that they express their joy by paying for everyone. something abt,,,, money and power,, power imbalance. the idea of having such a powerful man grovel at ur feet keeps me up at night.

What if the yandere has a reason to grovel? What if they have a reputation to uphold and you know their dirty, little secret? The one thing they’ve funneled so much money into so that it will stay buried and hidden away. They’ve paid off anyone who might know anything, have disposed of people who’ve gotten too close to the truth, and are willing to do anything to ensure that the secret never comes to light. And then they meet you and you have the advantage because you know everything. Because by some unfortunate miracle you’ve unearthed their secret and you’re not about to be silenced that easily.

So you string them along. They’re rich and powerful and influential. It’s a simple deal. You won’t light their career up in flames—not like you really could, anyways—and in return they’ll do what you want. You want designer clothes and accessories? Done. You want to eat somewhere expensive? Done (and they’ll always cover the bill). You want to freeload in their penthouse and feel for a few hours what it’s like to be in the upper class? Done.

Of course they’re only agreeing to all of these silly demands for their own benefit. You didn’t think they’d just let you lead them along like this, did you? Not without any punishment? How silly. They have resources. You might’ve stumbled upon their secret out of pure luck, but they have all sorts of means of digging up information on you. And it doesn’t take long for them to unearth your secrets. :)

So now you’re faced with a choice: stay in this tense, one-sided relationship with them, where neither of you will spill the other’s secret, or face the consequences that come with messing with the lives of the rich and powerful. So be happy that they took you to such a nice restaurant to reveal to you all that they know about you. Put a smile on that face. And since the mood is so wonderful why not flaunt a little? Why not show you a fraction of their wealth and power when they pay for everyone’s meals?

You really thought you could bring them down. That’s cute. You never stood a chance. And now that they’ve groveled enough, it’s time for you to return the favor.

I always thought I knew what a crush felt like but now I’m thinking they were all just squish’s but how can I really be sure? I want to be close with people but not necessarily date them and I think I keep leading people on which isn’t my intention. So if you have any advice for telling a squish apart from a crush that would be appreciated. Thank you so much.

I can describe that crushes, as described by alloros, seem to boil down to a strong desire to participate in romantic activities (as defined by your culture. in my culture, this usually involves wanting to kiss, date, and eventually marry) with a specific individual without conscious effort to produce that desire. 

If you want to be emotionally open with someone, initiate physical contact that you do not believe is romantic in nature with someone, or live with someone, that is not necessarily indicative of a crush. Those can all fit under the category of a squish.

That said, as someone who also has a tendency to “lead people on”... I have a flirty nature, according to most of my friends. I don’t really know what I do to create that impression. What I have found is that it can be useful to pay attention to when someone starts initiating conversation or contact with you more frequently than normal and doing your best to casually bring up something that prohibits them from dating you.

In my case, I tend to casually reference my ex, a trans woman. I can get a lot of information from that; I’ve typically been read as female (I’m transmasc and this coming semester will be my first since T started to really affect me) and most individuals with crushes on me have been cis guys. They may assume I’m a lesbian and quietly stop contacting me as they process a crush that will never happen (and most assume I’m queer regardless). If they kick up a transmysoginistic rant: fuck them, I’ll tell them exactly what I think of that BS. Both routes end with them quietly giving up on their crushes for me. Score!

If you don’t think you have a good route to go for that, I’ve also had success with being upfront: I try to catch a “flirty” behavior from myself based on their reactions, and honestly mention “oh, by the way- people tell me I tend to act flirty. It isn’t intentional, and I think I might have just made you uncomfortable. Please feel free to tell me if I’m ever crossing a line!” Note that this does not absolve you of keeping an eye on them, as most people won’t tell you every time.

I’m sorry but, to put it lightly, your first time with Kanato will not be sweet. Kanato canonly forces Yui into sex all the time, despite the fact she herself is a virgin; so I don’t think something like that would stop him. I also think Kanato genuinely takes sex very seriously, like it’s something really passionate and I doubt there’d ever really be “funny or lighthearted” moments during such.
