oh gosh okay 1) my amazing friends!! they’re all so sweet and kind and fun to talk to and I love them all so much aaaa 2) MUSIC!!! specifically when I play my violin and it’s just the whole group playing something everyone likes and there’s just this swell of sound and power and it’s just!!! wow!!! 3) night drives! when it’s dark but the sky’s clear so you can see the stars and it’s warm so you can open the windows and breathe everything in 4) fruity flavored/scented things?? hell yeah?? 5) CATS!! 🎉 for a celebration-themed headcanon

You won't find anybody more enthusiastic about parties or celebrations than Pavel. They are a chance to shed duty and responsibility, to just let loose and connect and have a good time regardless of rank and department. Celebrate! Life is too short not to.

It's a great chance to see more of Pavel, the kid, rather than Pavel, the officer, because he's not worrying about how stupid he'll look or what he'll say or any of that because they're all just there to have a good time. He's full of bad jokes, of bright smiles and deep laughter, of ways to get everybody involved with the fun. If he looks silly, who cares?

There are plenty of hazy memories and probably badly shot PADD videos of Pav being absolutely wild and it just is what it is.

Pavel, if he can, will do his damnedest to make sure whoever is around is enjoying themselves because he knows how it feels being the awkward one left out that people don't really want to have around. It's an awful feeling and it certainly has no place on the ship, let alone a party.

But Pavel will also not suggest celebrating anything before the event occurs. Birthday? You celebrate after the actual day. Promotion? No celebrating until you have that paper in your hand that says you got it.
