Wasted youth

I wasted my youth, Starved my desires To dream and live freely To tame the pouring rain, I wasted my years Hiding in the shadows Asking for forgiveness But you never showed up; So tell me, Tell me your next pretence What else should I renounce? @aaronhart93​: It’s a little early, but I wanted to be the first one because im extra -- I don’t normally do these on here because im bad at instagram but you’re worth it so here I go. Roman Beckett, you are the best thing that has ever come into mine and my daughter’s life. Before I met you, I genuinely believed that I would never find love...I actually believed that I didn’t deserve it. I knew from the first moment that I saw you that you had this hold on me -- I couldn’t get you out of my head and no matter how many signs there were that told us we couldn’t be together how we both knew we wanted to be, I still couldn’t stop thinking about you. Every day I was without you, I thought about you and what we could be...Now we ARE that and I am most literally the happiest man in the whole world. You love me like no body has ever loved me before and I can’t remember a time I was this happy. We balance each other out so well that I really believe we were always meant to find each other. You love Des like your own and I am beyond grateful to you for becoming like another parent to her. Best of all, she loves you so so much (she also says you’re old, but we won’t get into that). You have made me a better man just like Des has made me a better man and I am so grateful for that. Lois, I am so in love with you...I think I knew I was in love with you since the day we gave each other those nicknames. You can really tell everybody this is your song now -- that I’m yours. Anyway, Happy Birthday to the kindest, more empathetic, caring, talented, sexiest man I know. I don’t think you will ever understand how much better you have made my life. If you’d like, I could write you love notes and slip them into your bag each morning. We'd go to the park every Sunday after breakfast, dance in the rain and stay awake all night. I'd play sad piano songs while you read your books, and we'd tell each other scary stories at candlelight. For Halloween, we'd dress up as our favourite characters, run in the dark and scream our hearts out. We could be together forever, whether dead or alive, if you’d like.

Maybe home is a word we made up To trick ourselves into believing That we belong somewhere; Or maybe home is a suitcase we drag around, Stuffed with memories that never quite fit. My head spins with all the places I could run to - A cabin in the mountains, a flat in Paris, A house by the sea... But every place only reminds me That I'll always be a stranger in this world Roaming, searching, loving, Hating eveything! Nothing and nowhere ever feels right And there is no home within me.

Your convictions

Everything we do is meaningless, I feel sick to my stomach In this house, in ours; We know we'll never see the light, Because the sun never shines in our direction We're just statistics, a sob story That people share when they want to feel holy We’re still dying young, Unhappy and alone And I don't see you fighting, I don't see you caring Despite your tweets and prayers You still argue about colours and shapes Like a stupid 1st grader.
