[whispers] heartbroken Enjolras anon here, is there more angst to come in this verse now that they're together?
Oh, bb, you have no idea.
(There will tentatively be about 5 happy parts in the second arc, before we move into the last arc where it starts to get sad again. Functional Heartburn was never meant to be happy.)
Hello! I just wanted to stop by and say that I really like your writing :) I was wondering if you'd ever seen an anime called "sekai ichi hatsukoi"? I just think it would work so well as an e/R AU
Heyyyy, thank you! *blushes*
I have, yes! I agree, it would be adorableeee :3 If that was a hint for me to write it though, I’m basically putting a hiatus on all new writey things until September, since I have two ongoing WIPs and my LMBB to worry about right now! ;____;
Hi! :) I saw in your 'about' page that you're mixed-race, and I was wondering (if it's ok) what mix you are? I'm mixed too, and I don't actually know anyone else (apart from my brother) who is, so I'm always interested :)
oh, yeah no that's totally cool
i'm actually mostly hispanic and black, with a teeeeeny bit of pueblo indian thrown in (but like, maybe 1/8th)
before I started following you I was drifting along in blissful ignorance, not knowing about the swirling vortex of puppies and sunshine that is courferre. I have since seen the light, and I was wondering if you have any favourite courferre fics or recommendations? :)
oh my god that’s the most beautiful way i’ve ever been told i made someone ship something
swirling vortex of sunshine and puppies oh my gosh
anyway, um… i’m kiiiinda at school atm, and the wifi blocks ao3 because of porn, so i can give you a list when i get home???
other than that this is my tag for fics on tumblr, and you can’t go wrong with anything by kiyala
[most of the actual fics start appearing around page 2 or 3 of my ficlet things tag]
So remember that one time for April Fool’s where I fixed everything that I had done but only for twenty-four hours? Well for my birthday aarontveiakeoffyourclothes asked for this on behalf of wearenotmagnificent , so—

Pairing: Grantaire/Enjolras
Verse: Situational Irony
Rating: PG-13
Summary: A promise kept—if not quite as well as it was intended.
—
The doorknob rattles as Enjolras’ face turns away from the cushions of the couch, the rough fabric scraping at his nose, leaving the smells of paint and pencils and stale wine clinging to the insides of his sinuses.
(“I’ll be right back.”)
With a start, he sits up, his back protesting (cracking from the base to the cord at the bottom of his skull, rumbling at the bottom of his brain) and turns his head toward the door. It feels ages too late to be right back, even though the time is a little more liberal than I’ll be back in fifteen minutes.
The doorknob rattles again and a stooped shape eases through the doorway, hissing a quiet apology as he snaps the door shut with a muffled click.
“Right back you said,” Enjolras tells the Grantaire-shape, curls atop a head that rests on shoulders curled downward, shame written in the bend of his brows when he straightens and looks cowed, scuffing his trainers on the floor, holding up a rental movie bag (hissing plastic stuff, stretched and probably a waste) like a shield.
“Time is relative,” Grantaire murmurs, bright blue eyes peering over the bag, his future-crow’s feet curling at the corners of them. “So I’m right back, relatively, in comparison to not coming back at all. But good morning, sunshine, you’re looking radiant, did I mention that I picked up movies?”
Enjolras frowns, the panic in his chest dying, smoldering into something a little calmer—relatively, in comparison to the overwhelming burn that Grantaire leaves against his tongue so often. It isn’t quiet—but nothing ever is. Not if it’s done by him, in his way, from a rooftop somewhere big. “Plural?”
“Yeah. One’s a political thriller. The other one is—“
“I know.”
The crow’s feet deepen and Enjolras feels something alive crawling inside his chest, tasting sweet and thick and electric. “So come here. Watch them with me.”
“I’ll be right there,” Grantaire says quietly, the bag coming away from his face to hiss between his hands, a smile revealing the crooked whites of his teeth beneath the shadows around his eyes (tired but happy and bright and so—)
“No,” Enjolras says, just as quietly—relatively. Though it feels explosive. “Now.” He holds his hands over the back of the couch that he hates so much, the lumps bending beneath his knees.
Calloused fingers wrap around his own and the softness of Grantaire’s face is something beautiful. “Okay,” he says. “Here I am.”
Enjolras tightens his fingers around Grantaire’s, thumbing over his knuckles and the scars he has on them, and slumps to rest his chin against the back of the sofa.
“Welcome home,” Enjolras says, belatedly.
Grantaire’s hands only squeeze back inside his own.
RULES: 1. Always post the rules. 2. Answer the questions of the person who tagged you. 3. Write 10 new questions. 4. Tag 10 random people. 5. Tell them you tagged them
1. What are your dreams and aspirations? What do you want to accomplish in life?
I want to be a performer. Plain and simple. I want to sing, act, and dance my heart out every night. I don't care if it's off-broadway or off-off-off-off broadway. I'd also just like to be there for a lot of people. I know that's a weird aspiration, but I just really love the thought of giving back.
2. What’s the last book you’ve read?
I just re-read Tess of d'Urbervilles
3. What movie made you cry the hardest? Why?
For some odd reason….Charlie St. Cloud. I think there was like a fifteen minute period in the beginning of the movie where I wasn't crying and then I couldn't stop. Literally, walked out of the theater with mascara down to my chin.
4. What’s the one place in the world you almost dying to visit?
Probably Versailles.
5. If you could meet any celebrity (author, actress, musician, etc.) in the world (past or present) and hold a conversation with them… Who would it be and what would it be about?
Charles Dickens. I think I'd like to ask him where he got a lot of his ideas. If he knew a man that inspired A Christmas Carol. And I'd like to know all about the factories so I could make my Victorian writing more accurate. And just to tell him I'm a fucking huge fan of everything he does.
6. Your favorite cookie?
Snickerdoodle :D
7. Guilty musical pleasure?
……..90's boy bands… backstreet boys, n sync…
8. Favorite artist AT THIS CURRENT MOMENT RIGHT NOW AS YOU READ THESE WORDS (I know asking overall is such a difficult question to answer.)
shit like performing artist or visual artist????? ah crap I don't know how to handle this… I'm actually answering for visual and it's Edgar Degas.
9. What makes you smile?
Compliments. I just really love compliments. Like I get that everyone does, but when someone tells me I sang beautifully or that I look pretty, my face practically splits in half.
10. What do you think of love? Just… what are your thoughts on it?
It shouldn't be complicated. You love someone. They love you. That should be it. If you are thinking of all these other things.. "oh what will they think?" or "but he/she does this…?" I personally don't think it's worth it, but hey… what do i really know
My Questions :
1. Favorite place you've ever been?
2. Favorite smell?
3. Favorite work of art? (sculpture, painting, etc.)
