"Downward Spirals" Good bye Metro Center. On 6/30/2020 I walked in my old footsteps as a youth & I revisited memories that have eluded me for so long. I had some really great times here. It's strange to be back, on your last day open as we know it. I see the desolate & sad shape your in now & it breaks my heart. I am sorry I didn't do my part to keep you open. I fell into the trap of feeding those monstrous smiling boxes that come right to my door. I am afraid that the next generation will not know what it's like to visit a mall & get to have the same experiences that I had. As a kid, I always looked forward to going to the mall, the smell, the goodies, the arcade & most importantly, the freedom. That was the 1 place that felt safe, like it was a familiar friend.
