All questions divisible by 5 for Jasper =V
OH JEEZ ZUNI WHY HE’S NOT EVEN THAT DEVELOPED
What is your OC’s first memory?
Well! His first memory is probably his mother, who was also a rainbow feathered coatl, teaching him how to read or maybe even his first basic potion lesson. A majority of his early memories would most likely include his mother since she was the one who raised him, and taught him how to make potions and cast magic. (Yes, Jasper can use magic.)
What deadly sin would best represent your OC?
HA! HAHAHAHA!! Uh, well, probably greed. He’s... Pretty bad about the hoarding thing, which pretty much includes anything he can get his feathers on. But mostly books. He likes to raid libraries and steal anything that looks like it will be useful to him and his research.
If your OC could have any pet, what would they choose? Why?
None, probably. He’s pretty darn solitary, and even given the choice of anything, he would most likely opt for no animals at all. But instead he’s stuck with Abbey.
If they came from their world to ours (if not already in our’s) how would they react? What would they do?
He’d probably... Panic. And then try to find the most valuable library close to him and steal everything he could. He most likely wouldn’t last very long though, considering what he looks like and his scales are kind of... Gold.
What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fancharacter? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?
Well! That’s a bit of a story!See, my dad was a Dungeons and Dragons nut, and I just ate his old AD&D books up when I was younger. I loved the Monster Manual the most, and I really enjoyed the depiction they had of the coatl, which was described as a kind of like... Good and noble critter that was pretty intelligent with shiny gold scales and rainbow feathers. This idea sat in the back of my head for a while, and then MLP happened, and I made up Abbey. Abbey was originally a fan character for MLP that lived in the Everfree Forest with Jasper, who I had created to both be a coatl, but be interpreted as a kind of dragon in the MLP setting. This was back when we really only had season 1 and about half of season 2 for reference so I had no clue how diverse the universe was. So, instead of being just a coatl, he became a dragon-minded coatl who liked to hoard and have lots of possessions, which included Abbey because of her peculiar appearance and abilities. When I moved Abbey into her own universe, Jasper came along and his greedy personality stuck, especially after I had finally figured out the reasons behind his serious shift in values when coatls are historically good creatures. It doesn’t exactly excuse his actions (keeping Abbey inside all the time, stealing, lashing out at people he’s perceived as wronged him) but at least they’re there, and will be expanded upon when we get to that part in Abbey’s story.
Do they want to get married? Why or why not? Would they ever want kids? Do they have kids? Why?
There isssss a lot that goes into this since he can’t possibly reproduce at this point in time, but at the same time, I think he’d probably run screaming from the idea. If he had been asked when he was younger (by human standards, he’s in his late 40′s), he probably would have been up for it, but I don’t think he would have stuck around for very long for... Reasons I can’t discuss yet. >>;;;;
How is your character’s imagination? Daydreaming a lot? Worried most of the time? Living in memories?
I would definitely say he’s in a constant state of both worry and living in memories. Jasper does actually have a bit of a drinking problem (which almost killed Abbey when she was really little) and he uses alcohol to try and get away from the stuff that runs around in his head sometimes. Lots of stuff in his past chases him around, both literally and mentally, and it’s half the reason why he’s so unpleasant to begin with.
Your character is getting ready for a night out. Where are they going? What do they wear? Who will they be with?
He’s probably going out to ransack a library he’s targeted
He doesn’t wear clothes
He very much doesn’t want anything to do with anyone, especially when he’s running off to go steal either from a private collection
If your character was given a slice of pineapple pizza and they HAD to eat it (or something bad would happen), how would they react? Do they even LIKE pineapple pizza?
Okay, first of all, I feel like this is an attack on people who like pineapple on their pizza, WHICH I AM PART OF. HAWAIIAN PIZZA IS DELICIOUS I WILL FIGHT YOUBut I don’t think he’d care?? He’s a giant feathered snake, he kind of eats whatever he can get his feathers on, honestly. He does prefer fish and eggs though! So I don’t think he’d turn his nose up at it, probably just think, “Huh. Okay, well, it’s edible, so... Down the hatch.”
If your character was presented with imminent and unavoidable death/fatality, how would they react? Would they try to avoid death anyways? Would they try to make their last days count?
He would react VERY badly. Jasper is on a life mission of his own that is extremely important to him, and so if he was in a situation where he was going to die, he would do everything he could to avoid it. Even try to find a way to keep himself living forever, which, as a coatl, is pretty long to begin with since they can live for hundreds of years. If it was something or someone he could attack, he would fight tooth and claw to kill it before it got him. If it was something like illness or something out of his control, he would do absolutely anything and everything to keep himself alive, whether it be sacrificing someone else or selling his soul. In his mind, he can NOT die, no matter what, until he is finished with what he has set out to do.
