While your job was to teach younger kids, the job and the students themselves tended to teach you a lot as well. It was a wonderful experience to constantly learn from your surroundings and a vast array of different people, and you held every lesson close to your heart. Especially the ones that helped you get through the daily stresses.
Over time, working at Abbott had weirdly helped managing stress. Being thrown into unforeseen scenarios has given you quite the skill set with problem solving. More often than not, it was easier than it used to be to handle difficult or frustrating situations.
But this week was different. This week felt daunting, exhausting, overwhelming—pretty much any negative adjective in the book. State tests were coming up, and you worked yourself to the bone to try and make sure every single student wasn't just prepared, but going to ace it.
The students felt the pressure, too. It was like everyone was on edge and somehow so busy and behind at the same time. Monday turned out to be the easiest day of the week, which says enough. Tuesday you could feel the cloud start to form, and by Wednesday it was pouring rain.
Melissa noticed by Monday afternoon you were feeling off. After being attached to your hip for at least a year and finally getting together, she's become almost scarily good at reading your emotions. Usually the two of you spend Mondays at your respective homes, attempting to get a jump start on the week and do a bit of work from home. Instead, at the end of the day, she was at your classroom door inviting you over.
“Hi, honey,” She said softly as she strolled into your room. Your eyes immediately found her, and you smiled for what felt like the first time all day. Outstretching your arms to pull her into a hug, you mumbled a “hi,” against the fabric of her shirt as you clung to her from your seat.
Melissa knew she made the right decision to invite you over as soon as you pulled her in, and she was happy to know her instincts were correct. “You want me to make you dinner tonight?” She asks, gently stroking your hair as she does so.
“It's Monday,” You reply, lifting your head up to meet her gaze. “We usually work after school on Mondays.”
“I know, but something tells me you need some Melissa time,” She answers lightheartedly. Once you drunkenly told her that your favorite part of the day was “Melissa time,” and she hasn't let it go since.
As much as you wanted to give in and go spend time with your girlfriend, it felt more responsible to continue working and preparing. With a sigh, you declined her offer. “I want to, but I need to keep working and I definitely won't be getting any work done at your place.”
She looks you over suspiciously before leaning down to give a kiss to your forehead and respond with a quiet ‘alright.’ You stayed in her embrace for a moment longer before waving her off to focus on work again. As Melissa left your classroom, she kept her eyes on you, a bit worried you were pushing too hard.
You were absolutely pushing too hard. You stayed late Monday, and Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday Melissa didn't let you stay any later than she did and insisted on driving you home.
“Sweetheart, I know you're stressed about tests next week,” She said quietly as soon as the two of you were out of the parking lot. One of her hands came off the steering wheel to grab yours and pull it out of the fist that had formed. You grumbled in response to her statement. She was right, but you didn't want to admit it.
“Don't go home and overwork yourself even more. I know you have my leftovers in the fridge so heat those up for dinner and get some rest tonight. And tomorrow you're coming to my house, I haven't been able to sit on the couch with you all week,” Melissa teased.
“I know, I'm sorry. I wanted to spend time with you, I just feel so unprepared,” You answered, turning to face her and watch her for the rest of the drive. She affectionately rubbed the back of your hand with her thumb trying to ease some of the tension she knows you're carrying.
“I know baby, that's why I haven't been showing up at your door,” She said lightheartedly, although both of you knew if she really wanted to she absolutely would. It was not an empty threat. “But tomorrow, you're mine.”
It's hard to not smile and look away bashfully at her comment, and you look forward to being with her all weekend. Although, you'd have to deal with the school antics before relaxing with your wonderful girl.
Friday comes in a blink, since Thursday night was spent trying to balance working and talking to Melissa on the phone, you couldn't believe it had been so long since you've spent time with her.
Of course, the students are just as excited as you are about the weekend. All the kids are rambunctious, full of energy and nowhere to put it. Seemingly everything goes wrong, from spilled projects in the morning, to fights at lunch, and finally, the rotten cherry on top—a student’s parent was hours late to pick them up.
You had to stay, as badly as you wanted to go see Melissa, you knew you had to stay. Leaving simply wasn't an option, so it wasn't until a bit after 6 pm you were finally leaving the walls of Abbott Elementary. Hunger, exhaustion, and irritation were all running through your body, and the drive to Melissa’s was filled with fighting back tears.
Not bothering to even knock, you opened the door to her house slowly, and shuffled in feeling the most defeated you have in a while.
“Sweetheart?” You heard softly from behind you. You locked the (many) locks on her door and greeted her back. “Hey, sorry I-”
Your words got caught in your throat as soon as you turned around. In the time Melissa had to herself, she had completely rearranged the living room. The couch was moved back enough to have the floor covered in blankets and pillows, making a perfect place to watch a movie. There was a bowl of your favorite snacks in the middle, and Melissa was already in her pajamas.
She walked up to you slowly, a shy smile creeping on her face. Her arms wrapped around your middle as she pulled you close to her, and back down to reality.
“Hi, my love,” She greeted you again, with a soft kiss to your forehead.
“Mel…” You responded, tears pooling in your eyes again. You wasted no time in holding her close, overwhelmed with the emotions from the day and now this. Except this…this was good.
It was obvious emotions were running high, so Melissa tightened her grip on you and shushed you softly. “I know, baby. I know…This week sucked, but it's over. You can relax now, go get changed so you can cling onto me all night,” She teased. It made you smile, and you couldn't resist the urge to kiss her.
“Thank you…” You mumbled against her lips, before turning to her bedroom to grab clothes. Because she knew you would beeline for her stuff, she already had your favorite Eagles hoodie and shorts on the bed. You wasted no time changing into them, smiling the whole time at how thoughtful all of this has been.
Back in the living room, Melissa was already on the mountain of pillows waiting for you, scrolling through the tv to find one of your favorite movies. You stood there behind her for a moment, taking in the beautiful scene in front of you.
“You're too good to me, you know that?” You asked quietly, coming around to sit right beside her. She must have gathered every pillow and blanket in the house, because this is hands down the most comfortable thing you've ever experienced.
Melissa chuckled next to you, shaking her head affectionately. “And you to me, sweetheart.” She puts on your favorite movie, leaning back to lay down and give you room to cuddle up to her.
You do, of course, turning on your side to wrap yourself around Melissa, finding comfort in the rhythm of her breathing with your head against her chest. For the first time all week, you feel at ease. The stress in your body slowly melts away, especially with the sensation of her fingers running up and down your side while she holds you close.
“I love you,” You mumble, angling your head slightly to look up at her. A smile forms on her face before she responds, softer than ever.
“I love you too, babe,” She replies, and seals it with another kiss.
Hello! Love your writing!
This is a Melissa x reader request.
I’ve been thinking about this one for a while:
Melissa and reader are both working in abbot for a while and good friends with a bit of joking flirtiness. And then Melissa accidentally says something that turns the reader on a little bit (maybe like a praise kink vibe or something). And Melissa notices and finds it hard to stop thinking about it. Maybe even finds it hard to stop thinking about it … (like in bed)
well sorry it took me three months to get to this 😭 but it's posted! you can find it here...i've never really written smut before so it took me a really long time to figure out what to write and i honestly am not super confident with it yet so...if you read it please lmk what you think lol
After accidentally getting you worked up in the break room, Melissa spends a lot of time thinking about that moment, and how badly she wants to see it happen again.
warnings: poorly written smut, smut with no plot, ooc melissa (sorry), this was a request, pov switching, mentions of "good girl" and "my girl", 5k words (sorry again)
A/N: yeah i don't have much to say i'm just gonna put this here and run away i think. thank you @schemmentisimpasours for convincing me to share this. good luck yall!
Melissa Schemmenti was a lot of things. Driven, stubborn, passionate—all things that drew you to her. She was like a fire that never went out, one that kept you very warm.
Luckily, Melissa had also taken a liking to you. It was rare that the redhead wanted anything to do with newer teachers, but something about the way your eyes sparkled when she spoke to you made her want to stick around, especially after a year of you staying at Abbott.
It didn't take long for a friendship to bloom between the two of you, despite the questionable looks from others early on. After a while of you trailing Melissa around like a puppy and her guarding you like something fragile, your mutual friends stopped questioning it.
Before long, your natural flirty nature came to the surface, as did Melissa’s.
“Good morning, beautiful,” You smiled at the redhead who was already sitting on the couch in the break room.
“Hi hon, coffee is on the table,” Her eyes trailed to the mug sitting at her usual table, steam rising from it like she made a fresh pot just for you.
You suppressed the blush and butterflies, noticing that Melissa made your coffee in her mug today. Muttering a quiet “thank you,” you grabbed the coffee and moved to sit with the woman who always knew just how you liked your morning drink.
As soon as you relaxed on the couch next to Melissa, she not-so-subtly leaned in closer to you. This became normal for the two of you, always around each other, always using little pet names. Neither of you had to think about it, it just happened.
Most of the time, you were able to keep up the charade that this was casual, pretend like it didn't make your heart flutter every time Melissa called you honey and looked at you with adoration in her eyes.
Most of the time.
It was one thing when the redhead made little comments or used pet names, it was another when she started being affectionate. A lingering touch, a squeeze of your thigh under the table. It was always small, barely noticeable to others, but every time it made your skin heat up a bit. Once Melissa crossed that boundary with you, she didn't seem to want to stop. Almost as if she liked pushing these little buttons of yours.
“I can't figure out the new reading program,” You sighed out, frustrated, as you sat down at Melissa and Barbara’s table. It was still early, just a bit before the lunch break, so it was just you and the redhead in the staff room. For now.
“Yeah? That hard for you?” Melissa teased from behind you with a chuckle. It wasn't clear what she was doing, but you could hear movement.
Melissa’s hands rested on the table from behind you, her arms on either side of you practically trapping you in your seat. Her hair brushed against your shoulder and her perfume surrounded you, which was enough to momentarily fluster you. But she kept going.
Her lips were so close to your ear you could feel her breath warming up the skin. “I can teach you, but you'll have to be good and listen.”
Melissa pulled back just enough to turn her head slightly and look at you, waiting for a reaction. When she was met with your frozen and slightly shocked state, she kept talking.
“Can you do that, sweetheart?”
Your eyes shifted to meet hers, your wide-eye expression a stark contrast from her knowing one. The heat in your face was noticeable, if your inability to form a sentence wasn't enough.
“Yeah…Yes,” You tried to keep your composure, but Melissa could hear the whine and plea coming out in your cracked voice.
“Good…” She said lowly, pulling herself out of your space just in time before the door to the break room swung open.
Barbara was quick to join the table, conversing with Melissa effortlessly—who acted like she didn't just ignite something in you and walk away.
Like her words weren't echoing in your head.
Like you couldn't still smell her perfume.
Or feel her hot breath on your skin.
“Hey, you with us?” Melissa’s voice cut through your repetitive thoughts. She smirked at you just after snapping her fingers in your face, while Barbara looked more concerned.
“Hm? Yeah,” You nodded, mentally rejoining the group.
“Barb brought up a movie night, you in?” She repeated the question you didn't hear the first time.
Nodding slowly, you agreed to plans with the two of them this weekend, “Yeah, I'm down.”
The rest of your conversations were just as automatic and robotic as your response, your mind all too consumed by the woman who sat barely a foot away. Wrapped up in your own mind, you failed to notice the redhead keeping her eyes on you, her own mind running a thousand miles an hour.
Melissa didn't mean to get you so riled up, if she was being honest with herself, she didn't even think about it. She's gotten so used to the constant back and forth, the teasing seemed like nothing.
Until she saw how it caught your breath, how your eyes fluttered for a second and you looked at her so…submissively. It was then she realized the severity of her relentless pushing and pulling, and just how much she liked seeing you like that.
All day, the two of you thought of each other. It took all of your energy to focus on the tasks at hand while teaching, constantly fighting your foggy mind.
Every second Melissa wasn't speaking, her mind wandered back to that pitiful, needy look on your face. She wouldn't stop until she saw it again.
And again.
And again.
At home, it was even harder for Melissa to stop thinking about you, having nothing to distract herself with. Before the sun could set, she was laying in her bed with wandering hands while replaying that moment over and over.
The redhead surprised herself with how wet she grew thinking about that interaction, and the many other things it could lead to. She barely touched herself and it was a mess.
Melissa wasted no time in pleasuring herself, thinking only of your doe eyes and shaky voice. That raw, needy reaction—because of her.
A low, stuttered moan escaped her soft lips the moment she pushed her fingers into herself. The sensation from her slow pumps were making her face heat up. It wasn't long until her free hand was underneath her shirt, frantically teasing and pulling at her hard nipple.
All Melissa could think about was you, how badly she wanted—no, needed, to hear and see you falter like that. She wanted to tease you and push you until you couldn't take it anymore, begging her for something, anything.
Loud grunts and moans of your name filled her bedroom, her breath getting faster and faster just like the movement of her fingers. She was struggling to keep her eyes open, her mascara covered lashes fluttering inconsistently.
A familiar warmth grew within Melissa, so she kept pushing and pushing and thinking of your sweet voice calling her names and-
Her warm body tensed and twitched with a sudden release, a near silent moan escaping her. She was nearly shaking at this point. Out of breath, exhausted, and with a slight smile on her face, Melissa laid there. Thinking only of you.
Unbeknownst to her, you had a very similar night.
All night you were thinking about how close she was to you earlier, the smell of her perfume engulfing you, the heat of her breath on your ear. You spent what felt like hours wondering what other things she would say to you like that, how else she would love to tease and taunt you.
It wasn't until after you had finished pleasuring yourself to the idea of Melissa that you realized you had to look her in the face tomorrow.
The next morning at work, you avoided the break room before class started. Although, you didn't necessarily need to, because Melissa was doing the same.
Of course the rest of the staff noticed both of your absences, and while Barbara went to Melissa just before the bell, Janine came to you.
“Hey! Missed you this morning, everything okay?” Janine announced her presence in your room, cheerful as always. Your head popped up at the sound of her voice and returned her bright smile.
“Yeah, I'm okay. Just trying to get some extra work done. I'll see you at lunch?” You offered. It was easy to act like everything was normal, because it was. As long as Melissa wasn't there.
Happy with your answer, Janine nodded and bid a quick goodbye just before the students started arriving. Per usual, you opened the classroom door and stood outside to greet each and every one of your students.
Feeling eyes on you from across the hall, you looked up to see Melissa watching you. As soon as your eyes met, she smirked, before returning her attention to her own students entering.
You just blinked a few times in response, before eventually coming back down to earth and engaging with the kids. Today was going to be rough.
The morning was…weird. You knew you were going to see Melissa at lunch, and the knowledge made you nervous. Anxious, almost. The time somehow went by too quickly and too slow for your liking, but eventually, it was break time.
With a deep breath, you confidently walked into the break room and beelined to the fridge to grab your lunch. Most days, you'd sit with Melissa and Barbara at their shared table, but with how nervous you were already feeling, it didn't seem like the best idea.
Walking towards the other table in the room, the redhead’s voice stopped you. “What are you doing?”
Back stiffening, you turn and finally face Melissa. Heat immediately pools in your stomach upon making eye contact, your not-so-friendly thoughts from last night coming back again. You forgot she asked you a question, until she raised her eyebrows at you and you stuttered through some sort of excuse as to why you weren't sitting with her like usual.
Before you could finish your (pathetic) sentence, she pointed to the seat next to her and commanded, “Sit.”
It was like your body made the decision on its own, ignoring the alarms in your head as you walked over to her, taking a seat where she asked.
“Good girl,” She mumbled, just loud enough for you to hear.
You crossed your legs.
Lunch was a blur, you missed every single conversation around you, too focused on Melissa besides you. Every once in a while her eyes flickered over to you, checking on you. Watching, more like. Whenever she laughed her hand would fall to your arm or thigh, lingering just a second longer than needed.
What sick game is she playing?
Hearing your name caught your attention, and Barbara gently reminded you of your plans later tonight for the movies.
“Oh! Right, I can host, do we wanna do, like, seven?” You asked her and Melissa. They agreed, but the two of them had very different expressions. Melissa was…well you weren't entirely sure. She was looking at you with such intensity and the slightest smirk on her face. While Barbara looked almost excited? Like she was excited about something else you didn't know about.
Nonetheless, you all confirmed plans just before the bell, and went to your respective rooms to finish out the work day.
As soon as your last student went home from the day, you rushed home to get the place ready for your friends. Yes, there was still some work to be done, but making sure everything would be perfect for Barbara and Melissa was more important at the moment.
Luckily your apartment was already pretty clean, it just needed some small adjustments and extra blankets and pillows. In the middle of setting things up, you heard your phone buzz.
Barbara Howard
I don't think I can make it to our movie night. Started not feeling well and need some rest. Sorry, dear.
You stared at the screen for a moment before responding with care, feeling momentarily worried for her and her sudden illness.
Until you remembered who else was supposed to come tonight. It was now just going to be you and Melissa, alone in your apartment on a Friday night with a bottle of wine.
You debated on whether or not to text Melissa and let her know, but decided against it. Assuming Barbara has already let her friend know, you continued making sure everything was ready before settling on the couch for a little bit of alone time.
Just a couple minutes past seven o’clock, there was a knock at your door. The sound immediately made you nervous, this was it. You gave yourself an internal pep talk the entire way to the door, before opening it to greet Melissa.
“Hi,” You said quietly, looking at her up and down briefly before smiling shyly.
“Hey you,” Melissa replied affectionately and walked past you to get inside. “Barb’s not here yet?” She asked a bit surprised, turning to face you.
“She didn't tell you? She had to cancel tonight, said she's not feeling good,” You answered, making your way to the couch. Sitting on the smaller loveseat, you expected Melissa to take the actual couch, but instead, she joined you.
“No, she didn't,” Melissa scoffed. She leaned back in her spot, pushing her thigh against your exposed one. “Guess it's just you and me tonight, baby,” She teased, looking at you with that same smirk that made you so frustrated.
You huffed playfully in response, unable to think of anything to say. You avoided her gaze like you have been the past couple of days, trying (and failing) to hide the pink hue on your face and the warmth in your chest.
“Why do you keep doing that?” Melissa asked curiously.
“Doing what?” Answering her question with your own, eyes flashing to hers for just a second before returning to the tv that has yet to be turned on.
“Look at me when I'm speaking to you,” She told you, voice lower than it was before. Her thigh pushed against yours, trying to get your attention.
As soon as you faced her, she spoke again. “That's my girl. Don't shy away from me.”
Your cheeks were undeniably red at this point, and you couldn't help but blink at her repeatedly as you tried to say something, anything.
“You think I don't wanna see you? See how cute it is when I make you all nervous?” She continued to tease since you weren't speaking.
“You don't make me nervous,” You lied.
Melissa either didn't like what you said, or really liked what you said. It was hard to tell at first, the way her eyebrow cocked and her expression hardened.
“Really? Not at all?” She asked flatly, leaning in closer to you.
“Not even the other day?” Melissa brought up what started this whole thing. Mimicking her position in the past and locking you in place, she firmly placed her hand on the arm rest behind you, leaving no room for movement.
“I-I don't know what you’re talking about,” You tried scooting back, but there was nowhere to go. Leaving you squirming in place practically underneath Melissa.
“You're a bad liar, hon.” She replied with a wicked smile on her face. Leaning in even closer, chests almost touching, she asked again. “Do I make you nervous?”
“Melissa-” You sighed out before you could stop yourself, face heating up even more. Green eyes fell down to your chest, watching the quick rise and fall for a moment before making eye contact again.
“God, you sound pretty saying my name like that,” Melissa praised. She noticed your eyes fall to her very close lips as she spoke, and it was all the push she needed to close the distance.
A surprised whine got caught in your throat as soon as you felt her lips against your own, melting into her touch. Melissa was about to pull back, unsure if you wanted this to keep going, but your hand on the back of her neck stopped her quickly.
You could feel her start to smile before she focused more on making you feel good. She kissed you like it was what she was meant to do, her tongue licking and her lips sucking exactly how you needed her to.
Her hands wasted no time finding places to touch, finding out where you liked her fingers the most. When her fingernails dug into your hip possessively you moaned into her mouth. Melissa groaned in response and it was then that she decided that was her favorite sound to hear.
She quickly kissed your lips a few times before making her way down the side of your jaw and eventually to your neck. You felt her hand push on your stomach slightly, urging you to lean back. Of course, you obeyed.
“Are you always such a good girl, or just for me? Hm?” Melissa asked lowly, her breath hot on your ear once again before she nipped your earlobe. You whimpered slightly, hips jolting against her.
“I asked you a question, sweetheart,” She reminded you, but there was a warning in her tone.
“I…Only for you,” You admitted, and there was a weight to your words that both of you understood. Melissa smiled, genuinely smiled, at your answer. Only for a second though, and then her lips and tongue were back to your neck.
The sensation surprised you, earning Melissa a quiet moan from you. She wanted to hear more, she wanted to hear absolutely filthy things fall from your mouth. And she wanted it now.
“Where's your bedroom?” She asked, pulling up from you slightly. Your eyes widened slightly at her sudden question, but eagerly you started to get up to lead her where she wanted.
Melissa stayed close behind, one hand holding onto yours and the other trailing her nails up and down your spine. As soon as you were inside your room, her hand on your back gently pushed you towards the bed, leaving no room for hesitation.
The two of you fell into bed, immediately kissing each other again. Melissa laid you down as she distracted you with her tongue, her hand resting on your hip while yours were dragging and pulling all over her.
“Easy, baby. I'm not going anywhere,” She chuckled at your eagerness. “And I wanna hear you beg for me.”
You couldn't respond before she was kissing and biting your neck again, leaving marks that would certainly still be there on Monday. Every time she bit a little harder you were gasping underneath her, getting more and more flustered by the second. Her hands made their way under your shirt, gently scratching at your stomach.
“Mel, please,” Your voice was quiet and breathless. Close to what Melissa wanted, but not quite.
“Please what, baby? Tell me what you want,” She coaxed. Lifting her head up slightly to meet your gaze, her eyes were dark and hungry. Your stomach dropped when you locked eyes, and in that moment you realized how badly Melissa wanted this. Wanted you.
Before you could answer, the redhead snuck her thigh in between yours and gave it a gentle push. A surprised gasp left your lips and Melissa was obsessed with the feeling of your thighs squeezing around her.
As quickly as Melissa made you feel good, she took it away, pulling her thigh away from you and making you chase her.
“You know I don't like asking questions twice,” She said, her voice sharper than before. Her grip on your waist was so tight, part of you worried she might draw blood if she doesn't ease up. But you didn't care, you'd let her if she wanted.
Your hands made their way into her hair, tugging softly as you pulled her closer and more flush against your own body. “I want you, I want to feel you, make me feel good, please,” You begged between kisses.
She smirked upon hearing your words, happy to hear what she had been waiting for, waiting for a lot longer than she’d like to admit. Melissa leans in close, giving you a gentle, almost loving kiss before pulling back barely an inch.
“I got you, baby,” She mutters, her breath hot against your own lips. The warmth of her body makes you feel hot, the feeling only increasing as she continues her work kissing down your jaw and throat.
Melissa uses the position she’s in to her advantage. Her thigh that was previously between yours resumes its position, although this time she gently pushes your legs apart. You felt so vulnerable, but there’s nobody else you trusted more.
While one hand kept her propped up on top of you, her other started drawing circles on your inner exposed thigh painfully slow. You could feel her kisses start to get messier, she was just as ready as you were for this. The little whimpers and squirms you were making were out of your control at this point, but neither of you minded.
“God, you sound so pretty,” Melissa praised lowly. “All worked up just for me? Huh, baby?”
You bit your lip, subconsciously arching up to be closer to the woman. Not wanting to keep her waiting, you stuttered through a response. “Y-yes, yes its all for you,” You answer.
Melissa was happy with the responses she was getting. From your whiny voice and ragged breaths, she was more than pleased with how you were reacting to her touch. She also didn’t want to keep you waiting, so she finally moved her thumb from your thigh to where you needed her most.
A pitiful whine left your lips as soon as she circled softly over your clothed center, and her own face started heating up at what she was pulling out of you. As she continued her gentle touches, she moved closer to give you another kiss, even if you couldn’t match her intensity right now.
“This is exactly how I wanted you,” She muttered, so quiet it took you a second to register what she had just said.
”W-what?” you asked, just before another quiet moan escaped. It was hard to focus on what she was saying while she was touching you so…affectionately.
She kissed you again, hungrier this time. “You…You’re so cute like this…so needy and…desperate for me…” She breathed out between kisses, her words falling on your lips. “I've thought about something like this so many times…”
She increased the pressure with her thumb just enough to have you whining again, especially after admitting what she just did. You felt on top of the world and out of body all at the same time. Because of Melissa. For Melissa.
“Fuck…Mel please, I need you I need you so bad, please,” You begged, the words rambling out as you desperately ached for more of her touch. It was pathetic, but you didn’t care.
“Okay sweet girl, since you asked so nicely,” She replied, voice dripping with a dangerous sweetness. She sat up just a bit, enough to look at you. She took in the beautiful sight of you panting and begging underneath her, a moment she would never forget. A smirk danced across her face as she moved to take your shorts off, tossing them to the side absentmindedly before pulling your underwear off painfully slow. Those, she knew exactly where to put—in the pocket of her sweatpants, just a reminder of tonight.
“So pretty,” she murmured, and dragged a finger slowly between your folds. Both of you moaned at the contact. She felt so good, and so did you.
“Fuck…Melissa,” You whined again at the contact, hips pushing up towards her. She drew figure eights around your entrance, gathering as much of your wetness as she possibly could. It felt insane, she was going to be the death of you. Maybe nobody you have been with was that skilled, or maybe its because it was Melissa, but nobody had ever made you feel this good from almost nothing.
“You’re being so good baby, so good for me,” She cooed before taking her finger away and sliding it into her mouth. You watched as she meticulously cleaned herself, a moment of pleasure flashing across her face as she tasted you.
“You taste even better,” Melissa continued her compliments, voice low and possessive. She gave you one more kiss before moving down your body, leaving a trail of hot kisses and nips as she went. She took her thighs in your hands, wrapping her arms around them to put them over her shoulders and keep you in place and open for her. She placed a gentle kiss on your clit, earning her another high pitched whine from you.
“Baby…” You moaned, hands falling to the sheets to keep you grounded.
“I know, I know,” She cooed, and dragged her tongue from your entrance up to your clit. She moaned against you, into you, the vibrations sending chills down your spine. She resumed her figure eight motions from earlier, the sensation much more intense coming from her warm tongue. Every time you moaned, you could feel her doing the same right after, both of you so lost in each other.
You watched as her red hair fell down her face as she started working faster, her tongue and lips attaching themselves to your clit once more. One of your hands left the sheets, instead finding a place in Melissa’s hair, keeping it out of her way and tugging on it gently.
“Oh my god…Fuck, Melissa,” You whined and moaned out to her as she continued pushing you closer to the edge. You felt her sneak a finger inside of you as well, and a much higher, almost squeal left your body at the feeling.
“So good baby,” She said before bringing her lips to you again, her finger slowly pushing in and out as she worked you up. It wasn’t long until she added another, curling them to hit that perfect spot that made you try to squeeze your legs around her head.
You could feel a hot pressure building up in your lower abdomen the more she touched and kissed, it was almost too much—almost.
“Mel- Baby, I-I’m…” You tried to get the words out through stuttering breaths, but you didn’t need to tell her. She could feel you clenching around her fingers, and she’d be lying if she said she didn’t love it. If her mouth wasn’t busy giving you affection, she’d be talking you through it. The look in her eyes told you that much. She groaned against you once more, holding eye contact as your jaw fell open.
The pressure burst in an instance as you came undone for Melissa, legs shaking around her as she pushed you through your orgasm. A string of moans and curses fell from your lips, your hand in her hair pulling tightly as you fell over the edge.
Once she felt your body finish and start trying to relax, Melissa slowly pulled her fingers from you, gently cleaning you up with her tongue. It was so soft you almost didn’t feel it. Might not have if you weren’t so sensitive from just a second ago.
“That’s my girl,” She said softly as she made her way back up to you. You laid back, eyes shut as you tried to catch your breath. Her words made your cheeks heat up though, despite barely hearing them. You felt her lips on yours again, but she was much slower and more gentle this time. It was a kiss of affection, not hunger.
“You did so good for me sweetheart,” She mumbled praises as she continued giving you sweet kisses. Your arms wrapped around her and she pulled you against her, letting you roll onto your side and lean against her. Burying your head in her neck, she matched the gesture with a couple kisses to your head, holding you close against her. You hummed in satisfaction, exhaustion taking over.
“Mm, so did you,” You told her sleepily. She could tell she wore you out and she couldn’t blame you after all the relentless teasing she’s been putting you through. With another kiss to the crown of your head, she laid you down before getting up out of the bed.
You shot up instantly, worried she was about to leave you after all this. Melissa could see the concerned expression on your face and eased your ideas. “I’ll be right back honey, I’m just going to get you water,” She said, and left the room with a soft smile. Sighing peacefully, you laid back down and waited for her.
You must’ve started falling asleep despite it being so early, because suddenly you felt Melissa back in bed, pulling your small shirt off your frame to replace it with a more comfortable pajama shirt, the water forgotten about on the nightstand. She pulled you back into her arms, letting you lay against her warm body. You relaxed almost instantly and so did she, the two of you wrapped around each other perfectly. It didn’t take long for sleep to take over, Melissa’s soft voice giving you praises like a lullaby as you drifted off in her arms.

“You get locked out of your computer again?” You asked with a smile as you entered Melissa’s classroom. She had texted you that she needed help with something, so here you were within a minute. “No, I can't find the worksheets I downloaded and I don’t even know what to search for. I’m so frustrated I wanna rip the computer off the desk and chuck it out the window,” The older teacher responded, getting out of her chair to make room for you and leaning against the desk she threatened to do damage to.
Sitting down, you began combing through her files in her downloads folder. You found them immediately, but didn’t wanna bruise her ego by telling her straight away. You leaned back, and a small but ornate picture frame caught your eye. Inside, it held a photo of you and Melissa, standing outside of a restaurant downtown.
You remembered that day like it was yesterday. It was the first time you had hung out with the redhead outside of work, the two of you arrived together meeting everyone to watch a game.
“C’mon hon, I’ll drive you home.”
“Wait! I need a picture, of us.”
Melissa’s laugh was like music to your ears, a symphony of happiness and warmth. “A picture? For what? Proof that I didn’t kidnap ya?”
“No silly, proof that we hung out and had a good time. You know, for the memories.”
She chuckled but accepted, wrapping her arm around your waist as she pulled you in and leaned in close for the picture.
“Perfect. I’ll send it to you.”
“Whatcha lookin’ at over there?” Melissa’s voice pulled you from the memory. “This picture of us, cute that you have it up here,” You told her, tracing your fingers over the details on the frame. She smiled before responding, “Yeah, I like to look at it throughout the day, it reminds me that I still have good things in the world.”
II.
The gym was full of bustling bodies getting ready to hear the announcement Abbott’s fun-loving principal had prepared for the day. Of course right next to each other were Melissa and Barbara, but Melissa’s purse held the seat to her right. Countless times she denied teachers and staff the chair, despite how full the room was getting. She was running out of excuses at this point, even Barbara had to ask. “Who are you holding that seat for?”
As if on cue, you finally came through the double doors. Janine waved you over to her, somehow she saved and scored seats close enough to the front, but a low voice stopped you from continuing in that direction.
“Hey, kid,” Melissa hollered for you and motioned you towards her. Silently, you stood for a second, torn between the better seat and Melissa. Not to mention if you ignored Janine, you’d have to spend the next week making up for it. Upsetting Melissa, you’d have to spend the next...
Quickly you made up your mind and walked towards the redhead, and she moved her purse just in time for you to sit down. You mouthed an apology to your other friend just in time.
“Finally, what took you so long?” Melissa asked you quietly, as Ava could now be seen on stage.
“Sorry, I was trying to finish up the last batch of test grading for the week.” You answered, honestly. Trying to keep your voices down, Melissa and you scooted closer together, leaning into each other’s spaces. Although, you noticed the older woman had stuck her heeled boot around the leg of your chair and you realized you couldn’t move it if you tried.
Despite Ava starting her announcement, Melissa kept talking to you. “It’s okay, hon. I just had to fight off a couple of vultures to keep this seat for ya.” You blushed at the idea of Melissa shooing people away from the chair you currently occupied.
“You didn’t have to do that, y’know. Save the seat for me and all. I’m sure I would’ve found space somewhere. But thank you.” Melissa huffed at your response and tried (barely) to not roll her eyes. “I know, but I like sitting here. I always sit here.”
You squinted at her for a moment, trying to connect the dots between your statement and hers. What did it matter that she liked sitting here? Nonetheless, you started paying attention to whatever the principal was talking about now, in hopes that it had been enough time for her beginning rambles to have subsided.
As the presentation came to an end, slowly everyone shuffled out of the gym and to their respective rooms, and quietly the three of you waited in your chairs for the masses to leave. While people-watching the room, you picked up on the conversation to your left.
“I should’ve known,” Barbara muttered to her friend. You assumed Melissa gave her a confused look, because Barbara not-so-subtly gestured to you and your seat. Melissa just rolled her eyes once again, but turned her attention to you. Her green eyes made you feel a rush of emotions as they met your own. “Hi,” she said quietly, as if she was worried about scaring you off. “Hi,” you replied. “Ready to go?” She asked, grabbing both of your bags off the floor as the two of you stood up.
The walk back to everyone’s classrooms was quiet, but you didn’t miss the look Barbara gave her friend again as she made her way into her own room. “Here’s your bag, hon. I’ll see you at lunch?” Melissa asked, handing you your belongings as she leaned against the doorframe of your classroom. “Yes you will, and thank you.” You replied, trying to hide the blush with your hair as you took your bag from Melissa and finally found peace inside your own classroom.
III.
You walked with your favorite redhead up and down the aisles of the grocery store, picking up ingredients for dinner tonight. After having a rough day, Melissa offered to make you dinner. You agreed, but only if she’d let you be there for every part, including the store. Usually the Italian liked keeping every part of cooking to herself, but she found herself enjoying sharing it with you. Even the mundane aspects like the grocery store were turned into such a lovely time between the two of you.
“I’ll go pick out the onions for the sauce, last time I left the job to someone else I regretted it. Would you mind picking out the wine hon? I’ll meet ya over there and then we can check out.” Melissa asked before leaving the aisle the two of you were in.
“Sure, see you over there,” You replied, and the two of you split ways momentarily. Taking your time, you slowly went down the first aisle of wines, reading each label carefully. Even though Melissa always trusted you with the wine, you were nervous every time. Down the second aisle, a gentleman approached you.
“Need help finding anything ma’am?” He asked. You took a step back from the wines before replying.
“Oh, no, thank you. My friend will be here in just a moment.” You went back to scanning the bottles, but the employee continued talking.
“I see you’re looking at our Bogle merlot! You know there’s a great winery with a merlot that has a very similar palette.”
“That’s nice, is it close by?” You asked to be nice, but didn’t bother looking at the man.
“It is, I know this area very well. Grew up here my whole life.” He replied. A couple minutes passed like this, him grasping at straws to continue the conversation and you completely disinterested. Finally, you grabbed a bottle and started walking away.
“Y’know if that’s all you’re getting I can check you out over here!” He offered. Before you could deny him yourself, a familiar voice spoke up from behind the two of you.
“She’s with me actually, we were just leaving,” Melissa announced her presence and began walking towards the two of you. You hoped the employee couldn’t read her as well as you could, but based on his wide eyes, your hope fell flat. It was clear the redhead was annoyed, and annoyed at him no less. She refused to break eye contact with him, glaring the entire time. When she caught up to you, she didn’t bother slowing down as she looped her arm with yours and continued to the checkout line.
“Took long enough Mel,” You teased, hoping to calm her down. Her lack of response told you it didn’t work. “I’m excited for dinner tonight, and I hope you liked the wine I picked out.”
“I’m sure I will, and I hope that guy loses his job here so he can stop preying on pretty girls that come by to get wine for their dinner plans,” She spat, but not at you. She was good at never making it at you.
“Oh calm down, babe. He was just doing his job,” You lied. You knew he was being a little too nice to you, but Melissa didn’t need to know those details.
“Well he was doing it too well for my liking.”
“I’ll make sure to never leave your side at the grocery store again, that way if another too good employee comes by you can stop them for me,” You joked. Melissa smiled again, and it was a beautiful sight to see.
“Good, I don’t like getting mean in front of ya.”
“Yes, you do!” You laughed. Melissa loved getting an attitude in front of you. She knew you liked it just as much as she did.
“Yeah, I guess I do.”
IV.
Melissa knew she had a jealous streak, and when it came to you, a possessive streak as well. Most of the time neither of you minded, it made you feel special and the redhead feel wanted. Occasionally, Melissa had a hard time containing her emotions, especially the feelings she has towards you. She hated when those came to the surface.
So she sat, filled with jealousy and self-pity, as she watched you ignore her existence throughout the entire lunch period. Usually, you sat right next to her, she could talk about her morning and you would listen, occasionally offer advice. She loved getting to hear your version of your morning, since it was usually very dramatic and made her giggle, always.
Not today, though. Today, you were too occupied with the new librarian. Instead of listening to Melissa rambling, you were listening to him. She knew you didn’t like men very much, but it didn’t matter. The fact that you didn’t even greet her and there was only ten minutes left of lunch was enough to ruin her mood. Before the bell rang, Melissa sighed and packed up her things as quickly as she could. She said goodbye to Barbara, but not to you. If you weren’t going to say hello, she wasn’t going to say goodbye. She did, however, give you a dirty look at the last second before the door shut behind her.
You froze, it had been a long, long time since Melissa has given you a look like that one. Usually it was reserved for serious issues or people she didn’t care for too much, so you started going over the day in your head wondering what was going on with her. This morning you hadn’t seen her, and you hadn’t stopped by to chat with her for lunch yet, so-
There it was. With a sigh of relief you ended your conversations and made your way to the feisty redhead’s classroom. Instead of knocking, you slowly opened the door and allowed yourself in.
“Hi lovely, how was your lunch? I didn’t get a chance to talk to you so I wanted to stop by before grabbing the kiddos,” You announced your presence to the other woman, which went almost ignored. It wasn’t until you made it all the way to her desk that she spoke to you.
“Lunch was fine, I noticed you were busy with the fresh new hire so I kept my distance. Seemed like you needed it,” She responded shortly. She knew what she was doing was wrong, but she couldn’t help it. She wanted your attention desperately, even if it was negative.
“Melissa...” You started, waiting for her to meet your gaze before continuing. She looked at you with anger, but you knew her, you knew that look. The only other time it happened was when you ditched your plans with her for an impromptu tinder date that went poorly. (She never let you live that mistake down, by the way). She was hurt, her feelings were hurt and she didn’t want to tell you.
“Why are you yelling at me? Is it because I didn’t talk to you all day?” You asked with a hint of teasing in your voice, enough to let Melissa know you were serious but not upset with her. She nodded, still having trouble admitting exactly what was going on inside the beautiful mind of hers.
“You know just because I’m friends with other people doesn’t mean I love you any less. And if you wanted to talk to me, you could’ve done so.”
Melissa sat there for a moment, digesting your words slowly. She looked away before responding. “I know, I just-It’s hard. I want your attention but I don’t want to ask for it. If you’re not giving it to me then I just think you don’t want to anymore.”
“Mel, no, no.” You stepped closer into her bubble and leaned against her desk. “I’ll stop anything I’m doing for you. Just ask, if I’m not showering you with enough love and affection already.” She smiled at that, thankful to realize you weren’t that mad at her.
“Okay, sorry for snapping at you hon. I won’t do it again,” Melissa looked up at you through her eyelashes and pouted out her bottom lip. You knew it would probably happen again, but you didn’t care. After a few months of nonstop flirting and teasing, you figured out Melissa returned some sort of feelings for you. However, it was just as clear that she was scared of whatever this was. Every time the two of you got close to having that conversation, she backed away. You could practically see the words falling off her lips before she would swallow them again. So you remained patient with her, she was worth waiting for. That much you knew.
“It’s okay my love, just save the glare for the other guy next time, yeah?” You playfully shoved her shoulder to punctuate your sentence, which got you an eye roll from the Italian. “Yeah, yeah, you’re fine.” You gave her one more sincere smile and hopped off the desk to go back to your own classroom.
“Hon?” Melissa’s voice stopped you at the door.
“Yeah?”
“I love you too.”
V.
It had been a few weeks since Melissa’s last “outburst,” if you would even call it that. But the “days since last incident” counter was about to go down to zero.
Melissa sat at the bar, waiting for your drink and hers, as she watched you float between your friends. She let her green eyes roam over your figure, the way your dress hugged your skin so tightly, she wished it was her own hands. The way you so effortlessly swayed your hips to the music, like you didn’t even realize it was happening. The older woman was so mesmerized, she almost missed the bartender setting down the two drinks beside her. As soon as she got sight though, she grabbed them and made her way over to you.
Out of the corner of your eye, there she was, beautiful as ever. It didn’t matter if it was the alcohol or Melissa, but you felt incredible.
“Thank you beautiful, what do I owe ya?” You asked as you grabbed your drink from your friend’s hand.
“How about a dance?” She answered your question with a question. Melissa let you take a couple sips before taking the drink back and dropping them off with your friends. As she turned around, the woman was about as red as her hair when she saw a man coming up behind you getting ready to try and dance.
You don’t know whose hands were on you first, but very quickly you were behind Melissa as she was staring down a much taller man.
“Can we help you?” She yelled more than she asked, keeping an arm over your side as she kept you behind her. You knew what was about to happen, the stranger was going to say something sly, Melissa would say something worse, and you’d calm her down before getting her on the dance floor again. Something in you decided to change that routine though, usually you stayed quiet when she got this way, stayed clear from the path of Schemmenti rage and watched thoroughly entertained.
Instead of staying out of her way this time and waiting for her, you leaned into it. How could you not when Melissa was getting ready to fight someone over you? You placed your hand gently over hers and rested your chin on her shoulder, immediately noticing her eyes flash over to you. Her grip tightened around your thigh in response.
“I was just trying to dance with a pretty girl, didn’t know that was a problem,” The stranger spoke and took a few steps back, throwing his hands up in false surrender.
“It is.” Melissa said, about to take a step forward, unwilling to let him get away. You felt her body shift against you and quickly wrapped your left arm around her, holding her against you.
“Baby, should we step outside for a second?” You asked Melissa, making a point to let her feel your breath linger for a second. She might get onto you for making her so flustered later, but that would be better than getting kicked out for a bar fight.
Without answering, she took your hand in hers and led you to the back exit, ignoring the questioning looks from your friends behind you. The cold wind felt sobering against your hot skin, although your hand was kept warm by Melissa’s. She was gripping it so tightly still, you wondered why she was still so frustrated.
“Mel? Are you okay?” You asked. Letting go of her hand you stood in front of her, gently brushing a few stray hairs behind her ear. Her cheeks were still so red, hands clammy, and you don’t think you’ve ever seen her look at you so wide-eyed before.
“I...” She started. Melissa looked at your lips for a moment before returning to your gaze. “He can’t touch you like that.”
“I don’t even think he got a chance before you were back over there. Besides, why can’t he?” You challenged her. It was risky, hopefully with a reward.
She tightened her grip on your hand and pulled you close so your bodies were flush together. Sure, you knew a couple tricks to make Melissa blush or get flustered, but she was exceptionally good at it. Her fingers against your lower back started moving back and forth, sending chills up your spine. Her other hand let go of yours and found itself getting tangled in your hair.
“Because dolcezza, can he touch you like this? Hm? Would you be this needy for anyone else? You’re mine, you know you are.” The older woman’s words sent heat through your body.
“Prove it then.”
As quickly as the words were out of your mouth, Melissa’s lips were on yours. She was gentle at first, giving you an opportunity to stop if you want. When your own hands found themselves reaching to touch her more, she knew she got you. Her hand in your hair tugged a bit, and when you moaned in response Melissa took the opportunity to taste you. Feeling her groans against you, because of you, was a new high you would forever be chasing. Her grip on you was tight, she was unrelenting, not wanting to let you out of her sight again.
It was like the past few weeks of Melissa keeping her mouth shut had built up inside of her, she needed you, and she needed you to know that. Feeling herself getting too worked up, she gave you a few more kisses before pulling away. You couldn’t help but whine when she did so, missing her lips already.
“Yknow, I might keep letting people flirt with me if it means you kiss me like that every time,” You softly spoke. Melissa couldn’t help but laugh at that, even though the both of you knew she would not put up with that. Certainly not anymore. You were finally hers.
