Newton Pulsifer is followed by a cloud of failure through most of his life, as his terrible luck prevents him from pursuing work in nearly any field to which he applies. Nervous, quiet, and kind, Newton’s dreams of becoming a computer engineer are shattered at every turn until his career prospects dry up completely. It truly isn’t his fault that his skill with devices is more aligned with setting them on fire than making them properly functional. Perhaps his new acquaintanceship with a Witchfinder might help him find a purpose for his unusual skill set.
