Friend: “Let’s challenge Blacks to stop killing eachother.”
White man: “How about people stop killing people. Your statement makes it sound like ‘don’t kill back people, kill everyone else’, and your statement is ignorant”.
Me: “ It’s’s more ignorant to comment on the plight of somebody you can’t relate to. I agree-people should stop killing people. But as a black person,taking pride in your race and having concern for your race first and foremost is not a crime; nor is it spreading ignorance or hatred for another race. What it DOES do,however is add acknowledgment and carefulness of one’s own identity and preservation of a culture.”
What I also should have added was, “In addition fuck you; it’s not about white people”.
