many people asked me "why do you want to move to Ireland?" but no one asked me "why do you want to leave the US?". this always felt rather telling to me. everyone could think of at least one reason. tonight's news was definitely one of them.
obviously Ireland has its flaws, but I haven't seen a single gun since I moved here, and that alone would be enough.
